Yes, it was an orange one on Sepang turn 15 more than 1.5 years ago. Very slight damage on front fender and wing mirror.

You get this rattling sound when you do slow manoeuver in car parks is absolutely normal. It is the 4 wheel drive system. The jerk is pretty normal with the first generation clutch A. My car is now with the new clutch F, it is a lot smoother with the updated software. I understand from the mechanics that the material of the clutch is also different.

The interior is beige which is the elegant series. I love the white interior on the balloon white SE which is almost the sportivo package.

I really wonder why they'd give you a white leather glove to work on the tyre, black with orange stitching & logo would be nice. Oh but there's no spare wheel as usual & a big metal can to patch a hole. So, I guess it's a lifestyle thing.

No more DIY on this car. The glass cover, it cost me less than S$1000 on my TR conversion & several hours of joy. This is a grand S$16000 option *glurp*

Bro Isk, with my skills, I'll probably crash through the railing & end up in the canal. Well, that's the U-turn I take everyday but I did see a riced up Silvia did that one night with smoked spinning rear tyres perfectly executed & sling shot out.

Lung I think the interior is something like Lily white? It's beige, a nightmare to maintain.

Thanks Philip, I wonder when's the break-point of this car. It seems to bite onto every corner like a rollercoaster but with your hair very well planted, good for taking those dolled up girls for a ride of their life & come out still looking fine :D

    Bro. Jon,

Naah, joking only lah.. However, it can be done when yer under duress or 'emergencies' and need to get out pretty fast. Someone tailing you or whatever.. I done it once in my TT at the intersection between Bangsar to Damansara. Traffic's not going anywhere and I thought of a U-Turn but there wasn't enuff space... Kinda cool looking exercise but I guess I must've burnt 2 months worth of rubber and 2 weeks woth of clutch....Note : While executing it, you must control face to look nonchalant, otherwise, drop water face-lah..!!!!!

Line's still slow here and I just saw yer 'Three Kings'... I must say yer 'Janda2', esp. the TR looks so mean and very becoming. I sincerely hope she goes to a good home. Same goes for Bluey too...

As for yer interior, as long as yer kid doesn't spill any Ribena of sorts, it'll be fine but must stock up on yer hide food and cleaner lah...

Mostly without tripod & absolutely no flash & the built-in is a joke as usual. Haven't bought a flash unit yet. The white balance was set to incandescent rather than flourescent tubes. ISO are at least 400 with the engine bay picture pushed to 1600. Mostly with apertures @ 5.6-11 but some were 18/22. Still not as sharp as I expected & I haven't found the correct settings so far. Lens is a standard 18-135mm.

Friends told me sometimes they use up to 20 flood lights for shooting cars while assistants use reflectors. I try to make do but my hands like to shake & blur the images :(

    Any pointers?

BTW what camera are u using? I usually dont mess with the white balance, because by the time I am done messing with the camera, I just would like to teach it to fly. ISO 400 right for a car park situation. How many megapixels are u taking at present? 1600, hmm pretty good camera.

U set your aperture to manual or auto? I tend to leave mine in Auto most of the time, too lazy to fiddle :)

Cathay tried to sell me a manfrotto camera mount the other day, I thought its pretty neat as you can use the suction cup to mount it anywhere in a car, but that would mean having to get a wired cable to fire.

Yep my hand apparently shakes too. I am pretty darn sure it doesnt, but well the pictures tends to blur if you look closely enough. May consider getting the IS lens from Canon, if it gets worse. But heard that some batches of the IS lens from Canon have verticla quality problems. Plus its ridiculously priced IMO.

    Perhaps Spaing can comment.

Yes Jon, I've seen your cars (except for the Lambo) and I can tell they've all been lovingly cared for in a way that only a true car lover would. Hope the new owners of your TR & Porsche will show the same TLC as you.

BTW, any problem with the Lambo going down the ramp to the basement carpark at your home? I remember it's kinda narrow.

My fellow director (who stays at your place as well) told me this morning that he saw your new playtoy in the carpark and though he's not a car freak, was so stunned by the Lambo's looks that he actually went up to get a closer look!

Oui? Which car does he drive? There's not many cars in my basement, it clears it alright because the nose is pretty short but still hits the one @ my office which many other cars ganna a well.

Tiong, said the happiest day in your life is when you buy your Ferrari & the 2nd happiest day is when you sold it! I would semi agree that statement. It would probably be said by someone decades ago when the Fcar wasn't so reliable or when the owner hardly used it & developed problems. A few guys are still trying to get rid of their Fcar but could not & the car simply sits like a sculpture. Now that is sad.

I was pretty happy when I sold my 348 because it always have a mind of it's own. I can't help but feel regret & pain when the TR is leaving my hands :( especially when it's beginning to "fuse with me", it's even better now with new tyres & 18". Everything works so seemlessly on my TR & the price....it's so cheap. Oh I'm pretty happy to pass on the 911 too, it's just too old mechanically & needs quite a lot of work that I just don't have time for it anymore.

I was telling my wife I'll probably stop buying auto magazines now since I won't be looking @ any cars for a long while & that'll save me some good money for petrol. BTW, you guys should grab a copy of the January UK EVO 100th issue. Very good read especially on the best & worst moments shared by the writers & photography tips as well.

Isk, PM me your address & I'll have a copy sent to your office.

guys, remember when you asked a girl out and she said yes and you waited and waited for the day to come? am feeling that way now. been told that i probably have to wait one week before i can get hold of my new ride. i am told patience is a virtue but i am clearly not a virtuous man. arrggghhhh!!!

jon, i agree with what mike said about the tlc shown to your cars. i have to confess that i am quite different in that, although i will do everything to make sure that they are mechanically tip top, i dont do very much for the exteriors of my cars. rara is also quite like you in terms of the amount of care he takes.

He drives a Japanese MPV (can't remember which one), white with plate no. 7441. He actually parks his car most of the time on basement 1, while yours are on basement 2, which is quite empty. Father of four, and an accountant, so I don't think he believes in buying exotic sports cars - hahaha!

ISO 400 for underground carpark is the minimum for me but the aperture has to be opened up & pictures won't be sharp. It's a D80 & I've ordered a VR lens like the IS from Canon to withstand minor shakes. I usually set to aperture priority & adjust accordingly while increasing or decreasing the +/- Fstops? according to lighting condition.

AUTO & those pre-set functions are quite redundant on such cameras but probably good for quick snap-shots. There's too much functions to set on these cameras IMHO, too much electronics & aids; I probably use just 10% of it's functions.

Accountant!? I'm seriously contemplating to buy a cheap car to move around. This G is too "attractive", the man in the street thinks it's a million dollar car, spoke to a few friends who don't know about my hobby~ I'm beginning to understand why some owners want them black, grey etc. Like what a guy said here, "I just want to disappear into the crowd".

Still smarting from last night's defeat. It was terrible to lose the way we did but at least we're still 6 ahead of Chelski.

Replacing the airflow sensor and aircon compressor, plus paint touch-up. Been out of the car for almost 3 weeks already and it's really agonizing...
