    Scam sucks but there is a trial in Europe about scam deal. Guy wanted to sell a Jeep and put an auction up. Somebody won that auction and start demanding the car. Of course there is no car and seller states he was just testing waters before putting real car out for bid. The whole issue ended up in a court where buyer states that he wants the car and nothing else with details described in the listing. The law is behind him - since we have electronic signatures and banking transactions also deals made at the eBay or other auction sites are treated as final and fully normal transaction.

    So if someone has a lot of time and a good lawyer - you can try to nail those scammers and have them pay you for the car they cannot sell :)

    I don't understand how the Gallardo auction is still continuing when the "9857justin" seller is no longer registered on eBay (somebody must have picked up on the scam and eBay gave him the boot). You would think that if a seller is no longer registered, his currently active auctions would also get canceled...
