Sounds like expensive bill to me. The aircon compressor will be easy to fix by any aircon guys & airflow sensors or MAF are available on internet & they are usually PNP. Guess it's best to leave them to the right guys for the moment.

Bella machina signore Jon. Tangerine Dream!

Now, all you got to do is get some bling-bling dubs and play this on your stereo as you cruise down Orchard:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7Z9_I33IF0

You'll be the Mac Daddy in town. I wonder if there are any Fcar songs?

Perhaps you should still get the e34 M5 as your daily driver. Fast but subtle.

Btw, what is the 993 color? I don't think it's Riviera Blue. Zenith Blue perhaps?

Thanks for the kind words, Des. Should be reunited this week if everything goes fine.

Actually all this Lambo talk and awesome pics have got me all 'itchy', but I will medicate myself to keep the itch under control. Will focus on launching my next project first. If successful, then can cross the Red Sea of Horses to the Gardens of Teban to seek out a sacred bull...

I'm estimating the bill to be at least $5k *sob*.

According to the workshop, an original compressor is very costly and they would have to be imported from Italy but they can help me to source for a cheaper alternative locally.

Anyway as you said, best to leave it to them for now...

There are a host of funky suction cup setups look here >>

    http://cinemasupplies.stores.yahoo.net/succupmoun.html

, the most ideal one is a 3 leg system where you can localise it and make sure it doesnt shake while driving. Those rigs are big and they are what professionals use to take pictures of cars in motion from a 3/4 perspective.
To eliminate shake, its a rule of thumb to maintain at least 1/60th speed, but with my macallan hands, I cannot use that rule..:)

Jon, nice pictures! You are doing Nick proud.

Wow, Jon.. all three of your cars in one photo.. impressive.
Not sure if the D80 has this function but I use the 2 second timer on some occasion.. easier to keep the hands still when you're not actually pressing the shutter button :) Think there's no need to get the professional setup yet.. maybe take your new toy's beauty shots outdoors.

you're on the dark side now.. can't compare the handling to your Testa.. ok, 4 lanes to make a U-turn.. how big was the center divider again?

Is the owner of the beautiful Rossa Corsa F430 with the plate SFF2*** on this board.. or anyone know him?

I have to disagree with that statement... I always loved my Ferraris and was always sad when I sold them.

Interesting comments brought up by/about Mike, Tiong, Rara and Jon about TLC of one's car... question:

"How often do you wax/polish your car?"

I do it every 8 weeks for all my cars.

lung, six unanswered posts in a row must tell you that you are in another time zone! when do you get back and, more importantly, when do you take possession of your new ride? the interval between polish jobs vary for me, definitely longer than your eight weeks. also, depends on colour. the black car gets done most and the yellow one least.

morning bro, nice to hear from you. dont know anything about banks or antique shops; more like the stock market, haha! anyway, if i do a bank heist, wonder who i'll get to drive the getaway car. don't know enough about the different driving habits. probably tuck given that he's used to speed!

jon, sent you a pm asking for a favour, thanks.

Hmm the D80 is good. Wanted to get that initially instead of the Canon's for my diving trips. But after spending 1/2 hour at Lord's (Lucky Plaza) haggling, going for nasi lemak downstairs and coming up to haggle again, no go on price. So in the end got Canons.

Most SLR cameras for people like us, mostly for experimenting and playing with shots...most functions we will never use as its not a bread and butter thingy...but then again Alfie will think otherwise...

Oh BTW one of the local photography magazines has some good shots of the Lambo showroom in their current issue, very nicely taken indeed!

Cant remember the title, but its on their front cover it would get your attention.

Hmmm maybe going borders this morning to read some books ;)
