Nope...I still believe that you have the "Shih Huang Ti" syndrome...Once the piston rings have set in nicely, you dispose, then you go out and get a new, tight set of 'rings' to 'bed' in properly....hehe! Seriously, I dunno why, but in MY, Lambo ranks a notch higher than any Fcar, bar the Enzo (too outwardly looking to be 'normal'..). Go to a tyre shop in MY in an Fcar and chances are some wise-guy would saunter over and say something like "..phwooooaaarrr...Ferrari-lah! But Lambo still faster..kan..kan..?.." My answer would normally be.." Yep, some Lambos do..in a straight line....they're bulls afterall. Fcars are horses but not for all courses...now, go away..shoo!.."
... i likened the lambo to be more like a shakira and the Fcar a monica bellucci. as for me, monica still tickles me more ...
Dear rara355 Leaving aside the debate whether the car's looks are the motoring equivalent of shakira or not, this is what clarskson said on the gallardo's driving characteristics : ...It is a technological tour de force, a genuinely very good car, even if it is a trifle pricey at £115,000. But it left me feeling underwhelmed: there was no sense of occasion, like I felt when I first stepped into a Ferrari 355, or a Diablo, or a Zonda even. This is important, because supercars appeal to the small boy in us all. We may hate the bastards who have them and we may know they make no sense at all, but that doesnt stop us wanting one. And theres the thing: I dont particularly want a Gallardo. As I stepped out of it after a two-day stint, there was no pulsating desire to get back in again, and keep going. Although this may have had something to do with the fact that after three hard minutes on the test track the clutch was a thin veneer of dust on the main straight. (from Clarkson's own Driving Column on Times of London site) In the piece from Top Gear that Mr Tiong quoted from, Clarkson actually said that F430 was the better car for driving, a fact confirmed by his Top Gear reviews of the F430. In his Times review of the gallardo spyder, Clarkson said that he likes the gallardo spyder over Ferraris these days because Jean Todt does not smile at the race track and Ferrari did not allow its cars to be featured in Gran Turismo. My ! what solid grounds for choosing one car over the other ! Most of Mr Clarkson's exuberance with the gallardo has therefore more to do with the spyder and secondly, how the spyder looks rather than because of how the gallardo spyder or coupe drives. On these grounds, I hardly think any F430 owners are going to be offended by what Clarkson or tiong said since preference for a car's looks is always a matter of personal taste. Myself ? I like both Lambos and Ferrari - both new and old. I wish I had a yellow' 07 Gallardo (but not the spyder) with the optional clear rear cover, a topless black murcie, a rosso scuderia F430 and a rosso monza 599. Now, is that too much to ask ?
aiyo bro.... no mkt talk here la. this is my de-stressing forum. too much work and no play makes rara a dull boy. hahaha !
new gen cameras often have an option to get a wireless trigger, much better in my opinion...but very expensive in my case..
Very Beautiful! Its a very nice feeling seeing the latest pictures of an ex car. Thanks. Lung, maybe we should take a picture of the 430, 355 and your next car together some time! Jon, thanks for the clarification on the 355.
I think Tiong has already sold the 355... it is GONE!!! He thinks he James Bond now. Lung back in Singapore
Are you sure you can 'de-stress' in this forum? I see all this gorgeous Lambo pics and read about Des, Jon and Lung changing cars and I feel terribly pressured and stressed to do the same...
i am ashamed to tell you that i kept the 355 for one tank of petrol only. does that make me the paris hilton of this forum?
mike, one would think that an expert trader among us (eg. rara) would see the arbitrage opportunities and set up a car exchange among the brothers here. that way, hopefully, we can minimise the financial pain each time we jump! don't stress too much lah, my method of dealing with temptation is to succumb...every single time.
lung, too early in the morning for this kind of homoerotic discussions lah! shy to tell you whether i go commando or not in public...
be patient la my friend ! dun feel pressured, everyone has got his own calling.. for me its the 430 calling me.. hahaha! but i decided to kick my little moolah into overdrive and hope they breed for the moment while there's so much unreleased sexual tension in the mkt .
tot i caught a glimpse of your knickers when your skirt hitched up to your milky thighs whilst you were sliding into your ex -355..... HaHahaaa.just kidding bro !
Good advice, bro - I'm also having many 'callings' at the moment but let's stick together for now. But 'unreleased sexual tension'? What talkin' u?
rara, lung had that calling once and was sitting on the fence then. However the dark forces proved that it is still too strong to succumb.
