The Scuderia Ferrari Formula one team have confirmed that their new signing, Kimi Raikkonen, will be behind the wheel of last year’s 248F1 at the Vallelunga circuit in Italy later today. This will be the Finn’s debut in Maranello machinery after leaving the McLarenF1 team last season, twenty three days into his new contract with the Maranello based squad.

Kimi’s new teammate, Felipe Massa, will also be on duty, the young Brazilian handed the honour of shaking down the team’s newly launched 2007 contender, the F2007.

The scheduled three day session was meant to take place at Mugello, however forecasts of snow forced the team to cancel their plans and move to where there were better conditions.

Is that the 248 or the F2007? It looks like the latter to me.

Yes, I believe he won't have the F2007 until the end of this month.

Seeing as its wet and at Valleunga I doubt times would mean much.

It's great to see him in the car, finally.

Those photos remind me of how the cars were so much better looking 15 years ago. Those aero appendages really look hideous.

I dont like the fact that Ferrari is giving the new boy so little running compared to Massa - what is up with that?

I don't quite understand it either. I find it hard to believe they couldn't swallow the cost of producing two of this prototype version of the F2007.

+1 I really like the look of the helmet.

I don't understand either why he's not in the car more or at least as much as Felipe. You would think they want to get him acquainted with the new car as well since that's what he'll actually be driving.

LOL!! Basicaly all sport news here in Finland have been filled with Kimis testing, and the same TV-channel (MTV3 is one if not the biggest channel in Finland) that the video Bizi-Jones posted came from, just had a 10minute special news report on the happening, they actually postponed the rest of this evenings programs!

This country is starting to go Ferrari crazy, and boy am I enjoying the ride!
    53 days to go....

I don't understand the constant negative comments against Massa. I think he had a great last year coming 3rd in points. He had a few bad races but with more experience he will have constantly better finishes. The only thing i think he will struggle with this year is not having MS as a leader.
