I saw no less than 16 donut sharks on the Palisades on my way into the city today, mostly on the northbound side from exit 2 through exit 8.

That's about four times the usual amount, so it must be quota day. Be careful out there, guys.

Thanks for the headsup. Palisades has become ridiculous with the po-po. No more runs to Bear Mountain!

has anyone who has gotten a ticket from them noticed that it takes forever to get any sort of response if you plead not guilty? i got a ticket over the summer there, and plead not guilty, but still haven't recieved any sort of response from them. it's been about 8 months already, seems strange to me.

Yup. There's usually one or two Parkway Pigs hiding or patrolling between exit 2 and 5, and occasionally a NY Trooper hiding just after exit 6. I've never seen as many as there were today. 5-6 NY cops, same again and change Parkway Pigs, and I think I even saw meathead at the gas station just before hudson terminal.

Wow, something is going on today. I have never had the displeasure of meeting MEATHEAD but he must be pretty noticeable if you spotted him while driving.

I Believe from Exit 1 through Exit 5...The territory is known by State standards as Unincorporated.....They have Jurisdiction over every square inch of Pkwy and only the pkwy and answer to only themselves...I dont even believe points go to the state...they have their own headquarters off exit 2 and they try or trial all non guilty pleas at the stationhouse....Kinda Like a Ku Klux Klan of the palisades overlook!!!!!

Yes I saw them this morn out in force...

Barry don't let it get to you.
everybody has a name for the enemy, i like cops as friends but do not like cops whene they are after you to give you a ticket.

you have it easy buddy, you can go fast and not have to worry about anything since you are part of the police department.

Yep. I coined the phrase when an unmarked lit 'em up behind me while I was going a wee bit fast in a friend's Lambo. My passenger started humming the Jaws theme.

Thus was born the Donut Shark.

dun dun ... dun dun ... DUN DUN DUN DUN Aww.. !@#$.
