just a few shots, these were taken in costa rica, the perfectly coned volcano is considered to be the most famous in the world, they say it's the one you picture when you hear volcano. those alligators were huge! there's a bridge out in the country where they all kind of congregate at the base of, which turned into some great pictures. the airplane in the last picture is actually a restaurant that the owners decided to open, unfortunately we didn't get to eat there but the plane was at one point in time a military aircraft for them. the last two pics, (i believe) are actually on top of a different volcano, we were lucky to see the crater, because usually the clouds cover it up. the last shot is of a lake right next to the crater, where there is all this vegetation, yet the water is near boiling point. the monkeys there were pretty cool because they feel threatened by any humans walking beneath them, so they were constantly throwing sticks at us as well as attempting to urinate on us as well
I have been to Arenal several times. I was there once when it was a clear night (usually cloudy) and the volcano started rumbling and spewing molten boulders out which we got to watch bounce down the slopes.
we went to some hot springs right around the volcano, and while we were there, the volcano spewed a little bit. nothing spectacular, but very, very cool
the first picture is from the doka estate coffee plantation, the absolute best coffee i've ever had. the papi's crac is a great tortilla chip, and the beans with rice they make down there is amazing. that picture of the kid and i was taken at a school in a small rural town there in costa rica, it was pretty sad seeing something that impoverished but they received a great esucation. if i remember correctly, costa rica has one of the highest literacy rates in the world. Thank you!! The pics look great! They don't look too dark on my monitor, they look just right. The moon photo and the photos of your wife look great! I tried to take a photo of the moon right after I got my camera but it had green spots all over the photo. I should go give it a shot again.
pura vida! i'm from san jose , hope you enjoyed your visit and come back in the future! this is a wonderfull place
we were in san jose for a couple of nights, beautiful town. i intend to! that is by far the coolest country i've ever been to. how's the exotic car business down there? i noticed you are an f-car mechanic
there is not much of an exotic car buisness, we service 16 ferraris and according to the DMV there is like 18 or 20 tops. after that there are 2 lambos, a mclaren F1 and like 7 maseratis old and recent. and thats about it, the rest are nice but "normal" cars. you know this country has 4 million people so it's very small. when you come back, let me know, i can help you get around easier ROLO
