I´m a very happy f430 owner, canna de fuccile(gunmetal) with cuoio inside including dash board, red rev, fiber carbon padle shifts, baquets, stradale rims...

Some day I hope soon I´ll post some pictures, promise.

I´ve heard and read several things about f430.

Completely New version will come out in 2009.

    Dino 435hp 1400kg front engine, first step 140.000 € ferrari in 2008.

430 stradale´s new name "LIGHT PISTA" out in frankfurt motorshow, 525 hp and around 1300 kg. Firsts units delivered in december 2007.

And a 430 up dated version because the gap between regular 430 and Dino is too little.

Have anyone heard something about it??????

    :)

Only rumours, nothing final. The only thing my dealer told me is that they will have the CC disc brakes as standard on the F430 after this new Dino is out on the market to establish a reasonable price gap between both cars by increasing the F430 base price by about US$ 20k.

    Is your information definite?

The information about new 430 Stradale named Light Pista came directly from Italy, I think that it´s correct. Out in Frankfut, the same, and in dec 07 firsts units, probably but not sure.

The up grade of the 430 aswell came from another man but also from Italy, two weeks ago.

The information of Dino, from my dealer and magazines.

If ferrari Modena was 0.5 sec and 20 km/h slower than a 430, Dino should be something in between, for instance, 300km/h, 4.3 sec from 0-100 km/h, I think that´s too close but cayman and 911 co-exist and the difference is also very little.

I think that we're talking about more horse power on this updated version. I'm sure they'll add some other stuff to create added excitement. If the Light Pista is not available in the US then I could see the HP coming close to the 525 figure for the updated version.

If the 430 is updated, mainly in horse power, isn´t going to be too close to the 430 light pista???

By the way I think it would be a great idea to have the engine and sound of the light pista in the regular updated version, I mean without carboceramic brakes and lowered and harder suspension.

    carbon fiber all over

and regular (maybe a bit harder but not lowered) suspension.

i also suspect much better F1 and a lot of other minor things that in total unlock the potential that the 430 failed to realise. The 430LP will be as superior to the 430 as the 360CS was to the 360

I didn´t meant the LP, what I tried to say is that it would be perfect a 430 with engine of LP but a regular one called for instace,

430 M (modificata) besides the LP.

    So Ferraris car´s would be

    Dino

    430 M

    430 M Spider

    599 GTB

    612

Why would F waste their time on this? The 430 is the model. The only derivatives are/will be the Spyder, Challenge (race only) and some kind of a enhanced model at the end of the life cycle (like the CS or LP) which is road legal. This life cycle seems pretty well settled to me

Do you think so with a Dino 435 hp and around 1400 kg????

And by the way not the first time in Ferrari history that a modificata is created.

    For instance 512 m

The replacement for the 430 will be introduced in the later part of 2008 as a 2009 model. Because of the US market and problems with DOT, the 430 replacement will be completely redesigned. The gap between the Dino 2008 and the 430 replacement will be significant.

I don't think the replacement will be out that soon. IMO they will get another extension. That's why there is talk of a beefed up 430.

    Patriek,
Yes, prices drop faster here in Europe, but at the moment the loss is not that huge i think, is it? Just looking at asking prices here, don't know the real selling prices!
But you have to figure in the fact that a 'CS-version' of the 430 might keep it's value better then the regular 430's, at least that's what i'm told!?
Keeping your 430 for a few years too long can cost you maybe more then invest in the 'CS-version' ;)
But in the end, you never know with Ferrari, and it's your choice! I do remember you once said that you nearly went for a CS instead of the 430, no?

The DOT does not work that way. It is a safety organization and unless Italy is will to send over 50,000 troops to Iraq they will not grant another extension.

Consider the market possibilities if the Dino and the 430 replacement are introduced the same year. People wanting to buy the 430 replacement will be given an opportunity to first buy a Dino. By doing so they begin their relationship with the dealer to get the highly sought after 430 replacement.:)

the 430 replacement won´t come out till 2009 for shure, so the gap between Dino and 430 would last a year or two, that´s why maybe is of common sense tu think in a updated 430 version.

Please remember 512 tr and 512 m for instance.

    beatifull name would be "4 3 0 M"

If the F430 Light Pista is going to show next December, shouldn't there be some official information on the car at the Ferrari dealers?
I sent today an inquiry about the car to my Ferrari dealer, also asking him to place an order for one if possible at this current stage. I am waiting for his response.
