OMG, that front wing is wicked! The side tunnels and the very odd mirrors are very specials. It seems they tried lots of new solutions on this car. I'm curious to see how it will handle.

I like the color combo, in particular the dark blue. It seems every car on the grid got lighter and lighter over the past few years. The baby blue and yellow was a bit too Easter Egg for my liking.

I just read on F1-live that the new R27 is using the same rear wheel CF disks that they complained about Ferrari using at the end of last season, unfortunately the pic doesn't show it that well.

I read someplace that the dark blue was just for winter testing...

I wouldn't doubt that for a second. It seems anytime one of the teams comes out with a halfway decent paint scheme they promptly can it.

 Fisi completed a full race distance on the first full day of testing with the new car. An accessory component was the cause of the failure yesterday. It seems they've fixed it.

what do those rear wheel CF discs do? Everytime I see a Ferrari F1 pic it makes me wonder what they are?

I would think its for Aero reasons,
Seems a totally enclosed wheel would not allow air to create turbulance inside the wheel, thus drag.
It seems reasonable that a ballance would be achieved between flow for cooling and parasitic drag. However I would think with CF brakes cooling would be a non-issue.

Agreed, they said brake cooling last year, but I really don't see the advantage to cooling that the CF disks would provide.

Agreed.. most agressive car launched this year so far. Will be interesting to see the 2007 aero for Ferrari at the first race.

The new Renault livery is killing me, tho..

Yeah no kidding...throwing two different liveries together doesn't really work so well. I think they should have used the same theme throughout the front and rear of the car.
