How old were you when you bought your first Ferrari?

Daily ritual to look at it before I go to work and then again when I get home.

but then again, i'm only 22. Plan is a house before 25, and the F-car/L-Car before 35 [hopefully a 360, 430, or Gallardo]. Right now ithe plan is to finish my MBA during the summer, then a good job, learn as much as I can...then my own business. Maybe get married to the gf sometime inbetween the house and the car...so she can help me out

 

Why dont you call Ferrari of Beverly Hills. I was not an ***** to anyone. I wanted the car. Besides Why dont you check the rest of my collection, by your name shoulnd be on chevy chat? thats why you dont have an Enzo because you judge people too fast i personally dresss bad, am crude and look like i put gas in my booses's car's. i cuss too much and just dont fit the typical profile of a buyer, but a good salesman like myself looks for suttle things that underlie the crudeness, thus i made alot of sales. never judge a book by its cover. Its like racism a terrible thing. I went to Beverly Hills Rolls Royce years ago in a tank top and shorts, flip flops the guy looked at me funny but after speaking to me he knew that i simpily put couldnt dress but was a qualified buyer and i took a test drive-i didnt buy the car.

and yes this is a true story, about the F-40 and the reat of his collection, which is amazing, we are real people with $$$ not the polished type. Its my upbringing that makes me who I am, Mr. Glickenhaus(sorry jim about the spelling) is a gentelman in everysence of the word and i'm trying to polish up my image, as I just turned 40, we can all do better,

I know for a fact that he has worked hard for everything he owns and more power to him for that. Usually someone as successful as John or Eric would never post on a car forum but they are very nice guys like a majority of people here on Fchat who all share one common interest....cars! Maybe John knew the way he would be treated at the Ferrari dealership when he was 18 because that's the way a lot of dealers treat people. He knew he wanted the car and he obviously could pay for it so why stand there and argue with the salesman about weather he was a potential customer or not?? I'm glad John is a part of the forum and shares his experiences and great stories with us. He seems like a great guy who truly deserves the cars unlike some scum bags on this earth. Well said. ZR1 do us all a favor and stay off fchat because you make accusations about people you have never met, which not only is completely rude, but downright ignorant. ALl these ferrari guys on here are completely valid, and very nice. They share pics and their knowledge of cars. That is the jist of what Fchat is about. So lay off the bad comments, and just appreciate people's input. And I, as well as many others find John's stories and experiences to be very interesting.

success breeds success. of course, that doesnt come without hard work. You can't tell me that someone who comes from a very poor family has the same opportunities as someone who comes from a family that is well-off. It can happen with enough determination, but for the average man, probably not. He'll run into too many obstacles, and eventually give up. Not everyone's got the drive or personality to succeed [though, they really should. I encourage education and hard work]

John's proved that he's got what he claims [though pics, meets, whatever], and he's worked hard to get it. MY parents have bought me my car, and put me through college and now, grad school. I intend to keep it up and one day do as well, or better than they did.

I loathe people that SOLELY live off of their parents...like that damn show on MTV: "my super sweet 16". ridiculous. Of course, it's the parents' fault at that point. I'd smack my kid around if they ever acted like that.
