Townshend, Why do you think no LP640's?

I've heard that they are a huge handful at speeds, but I thought that's what the prolonged time until production was trying to work out. It seemed like the Murciélago had the same problem to a lesser degree, but of course I have no experience.

It would be cool to see the best of both worlds in the same stable. The kings of the Raging Bull and the Prancing Horse would be a site to see. As long as the Lambo isn't yellow, I think it hits the wrong keys (only on the LP640)... Go black!

I see some Freudianism in the Elise/Hummer arrangement.

It is impressive, but it's not that diverse a car collection. You know, if a child spent $3M, this is what his garage would look like.

One Ferrari... Sad... No Aston, Porsche, Bugatti... Not even the trademark posers SLR... Anybody can buy cars, but few diversify their collections in good taste...

    Kind Regards
    Jon

Actually, I disagree. If I had a collection, I bet mine would be 90% of what Eric's is.

And I think it is VERY diverse. You have the loud and raw GTRs, the 3-ton plush luxury cruiser Maybach, the small and nimble track toy the Elise, the offroad shrub-killing Hummer, the 1980s dream car Countach's, a limo to be chauffered in, and the modern Ferrari Supercar. An American musclecar is about the only thing I can think of that would make the collection any more diverse.

And as Eric has said - most of these cars are rare and are holding their value. Can't say that for most Porsches or Astons. :)

    To each his own...

Thanks for letting us get a peek! Wonderful photos.

I wonder if those two GTRs where at Keuylian in Beverly Hills a few years ago (probably in 2002)? I took a panoramic photo of an orange, yellow and blue GTR (with a Porsche 959 and Jaguar XJ220 in the background as a bonus). I thought they were the owners cars at the time.

That straight overhead shot of the Lamborghinis was great! They sort of looked like highly detailed 1/18 scale models!

although i would not go to the extent to say my collection would be 90% of what eric has, i must say his collection is extremely varied as pointed out above.

    to each their own

eric, well done; well done indeed!

p.s. that yellow gtr shot from behind...::thumbsup::

A collection is a collection the 2ndmost important thing I think is the chase to find what you exactly want in the colour etc and then the DEAL.

The 1st is to enjoy and try and drive as many as possible or as often most people only get to enjoy them when they take them to show them off
(We all like to do that)

A great book to read is Alan Clarkes BACK FIRED it gives a great insight into the great british MPs love of cars and driveing
