Mmm... Pizza. And I live right around that area. Might have to go check it out on a day off.
Hotels are often sold out months in advance. Staying dowtown is the best thing you could do. Best parties and everything in walking distance from your room. You better start looking for a room ASAP, or you'll have to stay out of town and take a cab and subway to wherever you wanna go My suggestion: The best rooms (ie $500.00 /night) are always available to the very end (ie Sheraton Centre, Novotel) just pair up with someone and split the cost, it is well worth it because they are right downtown in the middle of all the action!
Hey,Thanks for the info. I recieved a book from Formula tours.Do you know anything about them?I wonder if I should book through them?Do they have Sun. only Grandstand tickets?I was planning on going with one of my friends so we will share a room.I going to make some calls tommorrow to get some info. thanks
Never heard of them. Depending on your budget, book the Vogue, Sheraton Centre, or Novotel. Best hotels in the best spots. (Very expensive though!!) I've stayed at all 3, and they are fantastic GP hotels, and worth the $$$ for 3 days. Just make sure you check in on Thursday and check out on Sunday, so you won't miss any of the parties. Buy tickests in section 21,22,11,12. (ie, the hairpin, or Senna curve) Best views are from those grandstands. Best bet is to check ebay or just buy from scalpers. (Again, depending on your budget).
There seems to be no availabilty in those hotels.I think I might have to stay at the airport. Can you take a train to the city?Do I need to rent a car? Thanks for your help. Jeff
Don't stay at the airport! Try and find a hotel downtown. Check on expedia.ca or hotels.com, you wil find one there definitely. You can take the subway depending on where the hotel is.
Thanks for the advice.I'am going to look now and see what I come up with.I would rather not stay at the airport unless that's the only available rooms.I understand that the airport is far away. Can you take a train from the airport to the city?
you can buy tickets by phone 514-350-0000 http://www.grandprix.ca Ok.. first of all. don't stay at the airport... you are going to spend too much money on cabs going back and forth... and its a dead area... Downtown is where all the action is of course, the nite life is totally crazy, I always look forward to F1 weekend. Hotels will obviously be more expensive. You will also want to check out little Italy of course which is about ummm.. 10min cab from downtown... great restaurants, and the life on the street rocks. I live in the east end of Montreal, I know of one hotel near my house, Quality Hotel - 514-493-6363 in St.Leonard area, so when I rip out the 512TR in the morning, I will wake you up. Its pretty close to a few local cafe's ... such as Cafe Milano and Cafe Ciocciaro... where you will bump into many F1 fanatics, and Ferrarista's... and you can get an amazing salsicie panino... and espresso/cappucino. From there, you can take the bus to metro (subway) and in 30mins u r downtown. anyways... get ready to PARTY. Let me know if you require any other assitance
When in Montreal, don't forget to check out the Strip Clubs (Super Sexxxe, GrandPrixXXX) they are legendary. During the GP weekend, "extra talent" is brought in to "handle" the large crowds!
Thanks alot that is something to consider. My friend who is coming might have a differnt budget then me.I will have to run all this info by him.If I come to the race I will contact you I'd love to see your 512tr. thanks Jeff
I wouldn't miss for the world.Do you guys have a Ferrarichat get together during the race weekend?I would like to meet you guys.Maybe see your whips.
Aston Martin DB9,LHD,coupe,touchtronic,from 2005year,black/red leather, wood inserts on side doors,max.5000km,canadian specs

Forget trains...the schedule (specially on weekends) is terrible. But there are good bus connections from right beside the Dorval (airport) train station. Takes about 15 mins. to Lionel Groulx metro station in Montreal and another few minutes from there to the track.
Just a test to see if I can post pic's again..This is from a cruze in the summer with the big shooters in the offshores during the big race at Ontario place this summer..good times! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Nice to see you were able to pick them up, congrats! Hopefully you have them by Tuesday so I can see them. Looking forward to seeing them on the E36!
I love the wheels, a very classy design plus the fact that they are authentic Hamann make them very cool indeed. I just hope you find the fourth wheel cap, hehe.
