Agree but I was talking about the "normal" 275GTB/4, the special alu bodies are the SVJ's... but look at the rearfender with rim from a SV then do to same thing on the GTB/4... or open the hoods/bonnets from both cars, or sit behind the wheel, man the miura is so much nicer! Both of these cars are to expensive to race anyway :) but okay...I think on the racetrack the ferrari wins :-( on the german autobahn I am not sure of this :)

Walter, how fast is that Masarati merak of yours? It's prepared for racing only? you have a picture or is this not allowed on the miura thread :)

MB, ok, everything is a matter of taste. Yes, the Miura is a very nice looking car, a real beauty! Thats the main reason for collectores etc. to buy it.

The 275 GTB is much more agile and its pretty fast. I am very sure that its not much slower on the autobahn than a Miura!

No, my Merak is NOT fully prepared for racing only. I wanted it still street-legal but improved performance on road AND track by getting much weight out of the car.

...yes, this is a Lamborghini-site....but I risk it (sorry, have mercy with me...!)

    1. is on the Nuerburgring
    2. is in nothern Italy

    Ciao!

I agree, better than a P400 or P400S, yes, but NOT better than a properly set up P400SV!

Jay Leno's Miura P400 was actually Dino Martin's (son of Dean Martin of Rat Pack fame) first serious sportscar. According to the salesman at the time, the teenager came into Bob Estes Lamborghini dealership with his mother! He recalls her remarking that he wanted to buy the Miura with his own money, funds he had generated playing in his rock-n-roll band....before rolling her eyes!
Dino drove his new toy to high school, and continued to do so till he cracked the sump driving too fast over a speed bump. It then sat in the Martin's driveway for 20 years till Leno found it....

Interesting to see, but I have sold 2 Miuras in the last 6 months to Germany, and I know Roy Cats has sold one, as has another colleague of mine. The Germans love Miuras and are proving their enthusiasm by stepping up with their big Euros to buy now before the cars go up still further. All the German buyers im aware of have been real enthusiast end-users.
