I have had an opportunity to be around a 599 with the pentagram wheels and they look pretty good. Much more attractive than pictures of the car would lead you to believe. If those of you who have actually seen the wheels would comment on your preference and opininon I would appreciate it. I haven't seen the challenge wheels on the car. Which is best? Standard or ball polish?

I think the challenge wheels look 100x better on the 599 than the star-shaped ones, and yes I've seen them in person. I also prefer the standard over the ball polished... I think that "chrome rims" fad is out of style now.

The Challenge Wheels are the perfect rim on almost any new ferrari. From the 360,430,599, and the CS, and challenge they just look perfect.

Wonder what the Novitec rims would look like on a 599.

I may be in the minority here but I like the look of F430 wheels on the 599.

I tried to like the stock 599 wheels but they just don't look as good anymore to me. The challenge wheels are a 4k option.

I have seldom seen a big, good looking wheel do anything but enhance the appearance of a car or truck. On that theory I am leaning toward challenge wheels with the ball polish finish. Anybody seen that combination? Help me out here guys, time is short. Let me know what you've seen and what you think of it.

I have also seen about 7 599's to date in the flesh. One car had the challenge polished wheels on it. The car was from Shelton at the cavallino and was red. I did not like the look. If the car was black, dark blue , I might of liked it. I'll bet that option of the 430 was rarely ordered. I have seen a lot of 430 and only one or two with the polished wheels. Life is short and get the car you will love. I don't think most F guys would order the polished wheels. Most L guys would is my guess. That is not to say one is right and one is wrong.

    Hi Fred,

Personally, I prefer the Challenge rims. But, as is often said, choose whichever ones you like - don't worry too much about what others think.

Oh, and then enjoy it - drive it heaps. :) Pete

Personally, on the 599GTB, I prefer the Challenge wheels (standard, not the ball polished 'bling' versions). I have seen both, and although the other ones are nice, my preference is for the Challenge style. Looks more agressive etc...

Here is the Novitec wheels on the 599. I sold a set of these last week for an F430 and I should be able to get them for the 599 if anyone is interested.

I REALLY like those, but I'll still take the Challenge Wheels over them.

I think they would look even better if they were darker.

I think the pentagrams look much better, the design of the challenge wheels IMHO is a little too fussy and doesnt quite suit the lines of the 599. Again its personal preference....

I agree. I have seen both and I much prefer the pentagrams - they just look more "styled", more pininfarina, than the Challenge wheels. I like the standard F430 wheels for the same reason.

I agree that the Challenge wheels are more aggressive, but I just find them too "unstructured" and too flowery - they look like they're off a 10 year old 911.

I guess it's a variation of the BBS wheel, but they seem to have strayed from very geometric look of the BBS's. I would prefer them to look like the latest version of racing BBS's (ironically on a Porsche RS Spyder):
