I TOLD Him there'd be TROUBLE!

I like the Griot's tender...it red and overpriced...what's not to like about THAT?

Proper onboard overcurrent protection is required, IMO....only a licensed electrician certified by the Authority Having Jurisdiction should be used.....

If in doubt contact the closest Union Hall for assistance in this matter.....

I like the nickel plating on my Smith and Wesson but the stainless is preferred for nightime operation where the reflections off nickel could reveal yor position......

AMP or T&B wire connectors should be utilized........silicone filled if possible for increased weather resistance.....a proper crimping tool always makes life easier and improves results.......again Griot's has a nice one.....made in Germany, IIRC....

Speaking of silicone filled, we had a Penthouse Pet roll into the shop one evening.....she was driving on X or something and had hit the curb and flattened three tires.........well JRV whipped out his equipment, and..........

I have been so busy, Mike, that i have not yet had a chance to connect it. I have the Interstate unit connected now but maybe tonight I'll connect the $7.00 special!

I think if you connect a battery tender to the belts you may find out!

I think that proves JRV is a "big shot"!

    The real question is,
when a battery is dead are there two positives or two negatives.........

If it concerns you, then purchase the Deltran, Griot's or Yuasa. I have not yet tried the Black and Decker, but as you can see, have tried or used 6 different brands/types and every one of them has worked just fine. I doubt that any of them could start a fire (though in the grand universe of possibilities it could happen), as they are all tested by various safety groups, either ETL, CSA, UL or some combination. Now failure? Sure, every company can put out a bad product, or batch of bad products. I have heard of Deltran failures, but they stand behind the product and will replace it.

    Well that's a good point.

However, you would definitely have to be positive about the negatives!

Just make sure you don't add two negatives as it will give you a positive.

Yea, there seems to be a lot of "energy" on the subject, It's great how information just"trickles" or "floats" in and few have taken a positive or negative stand on the subject.

    Two Negatives:

    1) The car is not going to start.
    2) It will cost money to fix.

So you have 6 different models of chargers and some duplicates? I saw you pick up a couple of Griots last Sept.
Now that is a bit of serious charging!

Do any/all have short circuit protection in case you accidently bridge those clamps?
