I finally placed my 1/12 Murcielago (Autoart) 40th and the 1/12 Diablo into my display shelve... they looks very nice. I am going to add next 1/12 Ferrari model into it.....

    Maybe it is just me...
Or is it optical illusion that makes the Murci look bigger than Diablo ? Then again the Mclaren looks also much bigger than the other 2 also...

I'm about to take the plunge to get one of these. Having read through this whole thread, it seems like there was initially a bias towards Kyosho an then back to Tamiya. For those who have both or gone through the same decision process, if you had to make the same decision again? Which would you get?

My understanding is that the Kyosho is less detailed but more durable - is that basically it?

I have the Kyosho F40 Lightweight and the Maisto XJ220. I used to have the McLaren F1 and the Tamiya F50 (which I'm trying to re-aquire).

Please read the comments and pics posted on previous pages. They should give you some idea of their quality. Anyhow, given the choice to pick an Enzo, I'd take Tamiya's one, even though it is plastic and fragile. It is very detailed though. However, Kyosho's F40 is the best. It's a pity they didn't make the Enzo as well as the F40.

Skip the F50, it is a 'trash'. Buy it only if you really can't live without it. Otherwise it is a total waste of money. No offense to those who owns it.

Em but it is the only F50 on the market and in my opinion it looks awesome! Great value for money. I dont expect real carpets, working buttons, shifting gearknobs etc in my models.

Are you serious? I love that car! I think Tamiya did a great job on it and I was able to find one new for $199. I prefer to trash my Kyosho F40 Lightweight instead. The parts easily break and the black wheels are really starting to get on my nerves.
