Picking up chicks, huh? Probably won't help with that either. Seriously now, re. tires, for what you're doing with them, just get something round and cheap. Last year in the Benzo, we ran on Dunlop SportMaxx tires last year. Great all 'round summer tire. Check www.tirerack.com for reviews and, again, just buy whatever you find that is round and cheap. Unless you're tracking the car, you aren't going to need GS-D3s or PS2s.
I have to say that the NAAS has been a bit of a letdown the past few years. I can remeber when this was a real glamorous event. Most of the car companies were putting on elaborate launch shows and used to give away alot of great swag. It seems that today's show is geared towards sales only.
the roadster with the top up does look horrible, i'd buy it if i was gonna drive the car topless all the time, i duno wat lamborghini was thinking when they decided to do that, even the hardtop for the roadster doesn't look good, and i hear its like 10 grand US....i say lp640 coupe all the way...but then again its ur car, u gotta know wat feels right... later,
B-Mak, I'm in the same mindset as you with regards to the rubber. I asked about the P7000 SuperSports because that's what the seller included. 225/40/18 all around. Personally, if I were to buy new I'd even settle for some Kumho or something. Grim: I need new tires on my stock 16s, so I figured I might as well pony up a bit and grab a whole new set for the summer for a bit more $. And dear God you sound like an annoying parent with your post. LOL!
thx everyone's reply i will only drive in summer time, wont put so much Km on it and i wont drive it really mean....so...i think the roadster is better. thx
i can't compare to past shows, but i always 'heard' that the detriot show was the best out of them alll, so i guess i just went in over hyping the event, before i got to sit in the lambos, i got into a conversation with the manager at lamborghini of troy, i forget his name, very nice guy, he even told me in the long run it still is a huge advertisement, i mean people come to check out ur cars, and how many people on a regular basis go dealer hoping from one to another just to look at wats out there? u go when u know what u want and compare the same class to class...so the dealers can really use this as an advantage to boost sales... but nonetheless, an autoshow is an autoshow, and u go there for the fun of it all!
Just seems like double the $$ to me when you include the rims. Whatever floats your boat. Personally I like things stock on cars. But if you like them, thats all that matters. I thought maybe something was wrong with the originals, like curb rash, thats why you bought the new rims.
Vasco, I never said there's anything wrong with Kumho, but the only line I'd buy would be the SPT. The rest supposedly suck in terms of tread life and road noise. As it turns out, my previous all season tires on the stock rims were Kumho. Rick, here's my rationale: cost of new 225/50/16 summer tires = roughly $800. These Hamanns + Pirelli P7000 SuperSports was.... *gasp* a measily $1000! It was an amazing deal, so I couldn't resist.
How about an online poll to solve your life problems: 1) hold your ankles and squeal 2) keep digging 3) pay the friendly Nigerian banker his reasonable fees to assist his uncle's transfer of funds 4) accept overpayment from the kind overseas buyer asking for a payment of the difference not much difference between the four - sorry. apologies to the original poster - I'm sure the question was meant to have some fun
