McLaren F1's in Oz

At the end of the day, the Ultima is nothing more than a racecar turned to kitcar with a big engine. You can get big engined Commodores pulling bigger numbers for half the price of a Ultima but no one cares.

No-one but the "kit-car" types buy Ultima's. Going by their site only 200 odd Ultima's since 92 have been sold/made, pretty poor sales for a car claiming to be the world's fastest car and being 1/10th the price of a Mclaren.

TVR has been around for 50years and have made more than 50models, when Ultima does that, then you can get smug about them.


Now back to saving for the GTR LM

 

For those who've never had the benefit of seeing an F1 in person, the dimensions are actually quite similar to that of a Porsche Boxster. The F1's compact size really surprises most people when they see one.

i'm thinking about PI. never been. can't make the GP bacause of a mates wedding. i've been trying to talk him out of it but he is trapped.

geez, 2 days ago i'd never heard of it, now i'm in love with it! of course i haven't bothered to look up it's stats or history, but it's dam sexy.

 

The one pictured above is a 904/8 which is a little bit more special.

 

from memory they only made just over 100 of them. fiberglass body with the 4 cam engine. stooooopidly expensive if you could find one. can get reasonable replicas but even they're silly money.

 

One of only two Dallara F301 2 seaters, built by Bernd Shaeffer in Germany and imported to Oz in 2002 by none other than Ross Palmer. Team Brrmmm ran it for a couple of years doing joy rides and corporate days.

Everyone I saw get out of it had a wild look in their eyes and jelly legs!

Then again, that might have just been because Darren Palmer normally drove it........

Last I heard a Kiwi had bought it and took it home.

 

Depending on the location between 1.5 to 2 million plus.

ANY bank will loan you the money, without question, just mention Maccas and they will sign u up, u can pick up the funds ASAP no sweat.

Unfortunatly Maccas chose who they want as a franshisee and they are very very strict and fussy who is in and who is not.Long waiting list too.

i dont quite understand, if i was gonna buy one (an McF1) i would not use a bank i would pay for it, so why would they make me jump thru hoops, and the fees i would be paying would be FID for the transfer of money if i used a bank Ch, however it would be preferable to just TT the money across.

Did anyone see Fifth Gear on cable this week.........featured guy in the UK with an Enzo and a Macca F1.

The F1 looked to be the car that was recently sold by MM and was road registered.

Quoted cost for a 10000 mile service on the Macca was 30 000 Sterling.

 

That's what you pay to have an F1 team service your car!

 

thats about 70k aussie.......................1/2 the value of an ordinary 360C

i have just re evaluated my thoughts...........no to the F1, stick to F40

 

It was the same GTR that was sold by MM. Last time I heard the owner was replacing the Enzo with a Veryon.
