I would have figured 002C would be called "Grand Daddy", being the oldest of the old. Still gourgeous at 60, I hope I look as good as 002C when I hit 60. hehe
They wouldn't fit and the wheels are one off and unique to P 4/5. P 4/5 has more tire front and rear than an Enzo and that changes the handling and enables one to use less traction control. They feel a lot different to drive. You can also feel that P 4/5 is lighter.
I asked on ******* but have received no reply. How many miles have you racked up now? 2000 yet? Peter Hatch
I would hope not. The wheels in and of themselves are a work of art. Made from a single piece of metal. That gold tinge to them. Nothing screams Ferrari racecar like those do. Peter Hatch
Really is fantastic to hear how a man with a car worth as much as 800 boxes of Jean Jarreau's Arawak cigars actually drives the damned thing! Many collectors would throw it into a climate controlled room on a turntable and stand around it going "...yeah, it was that expensive...have another Arawak..." Zoom zoom... Best, Jon
Tis a long time to wait is it not. Mind you, considering my recent outlook on life, i think if i was chosen, i would ask Jim to exchange it for someone a little more deserving. maybe a young lad from a local hospice or something. Much more rewarding for Jim, and certainly would make some youngsters day. Hell, i've got the rest of my life to see this beast, some kids out there just haven't got that long. Sucks really.
it has to be that long for a few reasons but the biggest reason is that P4/5 will be making her rounds across the world and will not be back in action in NY until sept
My wife came home this afternoon and brought me a copy of the Top Gear magazine. "Hi honey, look what I bought for you. There is a Ferrari in it and I thought you would like to read it". Yes, she is the winning lot of the lotery
Jim, At Cavallino they spoke about a company called Italtech/(nica) that build your car. Is that correct?
Pininfarina designed, engineered, and built P 4/5 with assistance from Ferrari utilizing a new Ferrari Enzo. I'm not sure if Italtech/(nica) built some of the subassemblies for them but the car was built by Pininfarina at their factory in Turin. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In all of the pictures I have seen of your car in the design stage there is a part in front of the wheel well where you can see through, as someone here is doing. There is no compartment there, that I know of. I've always been curious to why that position was of so much interest. Just so they could physically see how everything fit inside the shell? Thanks Jim, Peter Hatch
That is the first wind tunnel body. The access panels allowed one to inspect clearance and the ability to place air flow sensors inside the body to determine internal airflow.
Kind of along the same lines of the original question, are there any places for storage, for lilke a small suitcase or something? It looks as if the front trunk from the enzo has been done away with.
