This 599 from Benny Yount at FCI has been perfect. Not a single flaw or complaint. It starts and runs smoothly, not a squeak or rattle, the brakes are as quiet as a Camry, not a flaw in the paint. The accelleration and torque seem endless. I haven't had the courage to find the end of what the accelerator will do. The car is a dream on the highway where it rides and drives great. It feels much more substantial than the 430 on the interstate but on a curvy road it is nimble, quick, and feels to be just the right size. I've owned and driven a few cars and this is by far the car I'd keep if I could only have one. I have not been able to post pictures. I'll get back on here tomorrow and try to get them posted successfully. I'm a died in the wool six speed guy but I love the Super Fast F1. It is so much better than the F1 I had in an 06 430. The car is astounding. Pics to come.

    Congrats..

Your car looks terrific. I look forward to telling us more about how your car drives.

One question though.. You mentioned that the F1 in the 599 is better than the 430. Please tell me more? I have heard how much better the F1 is in the 430 compared to the 360 and even the 575. What do you find is better?

    Thanks again.

The F1 in the 430 is much more slow.
If you hear some video around the net it is "superfast"

I have owned a 612 and a 430 with F1. The SuperFast in the 599 is better IMO. Quicker, smoother, and smarter. The earlier ones were ocasionally fooled into doing something awkward. This F1 is very very good. I would recommend it in every 599 but still like a six speed in a 430:)

    beautiful 599!
wasn't aware there was that much of an upgrade in the
speed of the f1 shift over the 430.
does that mean it shifts faster than the enzo as well?

Yes it does, the enzo can "only" shift in 150 milliseconds. The 599 can shift in 100 milliseconds.

Yah, but the flash can shift a 350z in 40 ms. SFO.

I like the pentagram wheels on this car. Makes it look a little different. The challenger wheels are also pretty damn sick. Hell, basically anything is going to look baller on this car.

Fred: Great looking car! What happened to all the ideas about stitching/piping/sabbia etc ? Is it safe to assume that the dealer called you and said "here is a car we have available now -- would you like it ?" ... and your patience/temptation-avoidance was stress-tested ? :)

You're exactly right about the red 599. Had the opportunity and couldn't pass it up. In time I will order a Nero Daytona with Couio and I'll have another chance to consider those inserts and the stitching/piping. I like the standard seats in this car though. It's a very good looking seat and different from other cars I've had. I might order these seats on the next car which would preclude the inserts. I recently admired your black 430 on a posting. I know you must be enjoying it.

At the risk of getting a public stoning, I am not really a fan of red Ferrari's (bar the Enzo/F50/F40/288) but that looks lovely.

    Enjoy in good health.

I've always been a fan of Red Ferraris myself. I think that that is because of my UK upbringing where most Ferraris are red. I think I'm liking Silverstone the most, or possibly TdF Blue on the F599....

one ferrari should be red, multiple ferraris can all be red, or you can diversify. TDF Blue is nice, but I really love your red! Are you a ncer?

Most Ferrari's I have seen in the UK are Red (mostly Rosso Corsa), but you sometimes see Black and Grigio Silverstone. You barely see Grigio Titanio, Alloy or TDF Blue.

In my opinion, you have to have atleast one Ferrari in Red.

The 599GTB looks really nice in Rosso Corsa, congratulations!

The dealer spec'd the car. I would probably have done black dash, wheel, and carpets in this car but it looks great as is and on one has complained!
