I like the black and yellow color combo, but so far, only one for me. I'm a happy camper.

    hello,

someone started a thread on f-chat that they thought the ferrari 308 was the best looking ferrari made in the last 30 years. i responded with what i thought were some of the best looking ferrari's since 1977. the testarossa, in all three variations, is my favourite ferrari of all time. not for an investment purpose (250 GTO) or for a performance purpose (the Enzo) but just for a car that captured my imagination like no other. i recall the first time i saw a testarossa better than i recall the first time i had sex. my favourite is a '86 "flying mirror" testarossa. the F512M is a close second.

i love your car. enjoy, but don't abuse. there are only 73 others in the united states. have fun and please... more pictures!

    kind regards,

    joseph

Wow. The car looks stunning. Black is a very elegant color. Love the front end on the M. The headlights with xenon lamps and clear unblemished covers, the hood with those menacing naca ducts and the nice tight-lipped grill . And the motor is so 'cherry'. So nice. Good score, bro. Congrats!

The car's at Bobileff's in San Diego. Gary has about 4 Miuras in there right now, including a couple of breathtaking restorations. He does quite a bit of Lambo work in addition to Ferraris.

    Always beautiful, the 512m

Excluding yourself, there are only 74 other people in the United States, that have this particular car designated for the USA. Period. End of story.
(The rest of the world only got 501)
You have in your possesion one very special Ferrari and if anyone says different, they have no clue.

    Enjoy that sweet ride!

    Nice car indeed !
Comparing with the first Testarossa and the 512 TR, what are the main points which make the difference with the F512M ?
Espacially in driving sensations, good or bad.

What's about the ABS system on this car ?
    Is really a F512M better car than a 512TR ?

    Thanks in advance !

The 512m is best described as the final evolution of the TR series, the perfected version. Ferrari made every effort to squeeze out the highest performance in the car through improved technology. The external changes are more evident and though they may not sit well with some Ferraristi, they are improvements in aerodynamics. Pop-up lights were replaced with projector lights because pop-ups create a certain amount of drag. A comment was made as to who would drive that fast at night with the lights on. True, but what if you need them during the day for safety! The wheels are functional, assisting in venting brake disc heat, Bosch ABS was added. Air conditioning is charged with R134a instead of R12. And then there's the classic Ferrari circular brake lights which bring the car back home to it's beginnings. 512m is pure Testarossa perfection.

The Testarossa is not for everybody and that applies to all versions. The Testarossa will satisfy a particular driver who knows what they want in a Ferrari, because this car is a brute. Around town with a heavy clutch and no power steering, this car could possibly kill one's driving joy. That doesn't include the stiff stick shift that almost feels like you need a hammer to put it in gear. A Japanese import car shifter is like a knife in melted butter compared to the Testarossa's shifter. It's worse when it's cold. But on the highway at speed, it's a very powerful, fun car.
