I don't know about this, as the search-button returned no relevant posts.

It seems like many don't like current Ferraris - especially the 599 and 612. Personally, I'm afraid that Ferrari is getting softer on some of their cars, being cheaper and cheaper (Dino speculation), less unique (producing more cars than ever - I like the uniqueness about Ferrari), and more focused on everyday use, than on racing (612, and the new ones coming, that even features cruise-control :S) - even so, i would still prefer Ferrari over any other car - Ferrari still features way more advantages, than disadvantages!

    Though, that's not the point.

If it were up to you, where should Ferrari be heading, in the future? Cheaper, faster, sportier, or should they make more cars to use every day? - or 5th?

I would love to hear everyone's opinion on this, as many seems unhappy with current Ferraris... At least design-wise.

Again, sorry if this is a repost, and if it's a stupid question.

    As Luca:

First, I would put the plans in motion today to introduce a Dino in 2009, instead of front engine as planned, I would make it a mid-engined sports car MSRP around $150,000. This would ensure that there will be a new generation of Ferarrists that will buy the more expensive models when the current much older "list" clients find there way to a wheel chair.

Then I would be planning an F430 replacement, similar platform, less lead time needed, for late 2008. I would call it the F540.

For the 60th anniversary, I would show the world a Fiorano Spider show car, with talk that it would be available in 2010. And really do it.

A revised Scaglietti for 2008, there is afterall a market for the commentadore that wants a luxury sports GT, but not with all the hoopla of the F599. Of course the cruise control will only work at speed over 120 MPH.

I would with great secrecy introduce the Enzo replacment in 2009, very limited production, and I would hire James Glickenhaus as consultant to the design team.

I would continue to ignore the critics, because something is working well, most all of the models are sold out, not gonna fix it if it ain't broken.

I will ensure that Ferrari continues to focus on F1, Maserati to be the luxury line, and Alfa Romeo will represent Fiat in world sports car racing starting with LeMans in 2008, ALMS in 2009.

Finally, all of this planning must completed by the end of 2007, so I can get about becoming the new president of Italy. Being the Pope is next.

That about does it. Oh, and I would tell that guy on FChat that wants a four door Scaglietti to get real and stop smoking that stuff from Thailand. Only my friends in Dubai will get a custom four door 612.

Once Pope you would funnel all the Churches money into Ferrari F1 development making it impossible for it to lose. You would make it mandatory to go to Church to watch F1 races, and cheering for Renault/McLaren would result in excommunication. Enzo would be declared a saint. Santa Claus would also bring Ferraris to all the good tifosi and the others would get the insurance/tax/repair/payment bills of the good people.I cant wait :).
