As someone who loves Ferrari's, but does not own one, I must ask. How do you shift into reverse with the F1 gearbox?

There is a reverse push-button or lever in the center console.

Pull up on the little silver knob and pull it back. Then you say a little prayer that you do not have the gear box failure light flash on. If so, you call dealer and have it flat bedded out and car is gone for at least a week.

Or you can call the flatbed first and then try it. Saves time.

How common is this problem and does it only affect when selecting reverse?I had a 360F1 for a day and didn't experience it but was told not to reverse up hill.I didn't ask why so does someone have an answer for that? Thanks

Reversing up hill in an F1 shortens clutch life considerably. Well, all depends how steep the incline is and how long you are reversing up hill for ect......The electronic F1 system slips the clutch too much while reversing up hill. Shortens clutch life. :)

Thank's. Now I know how stupid I really am. I would have thought that it would be placed into reverse by shifting down from the "Neutral" position while the car was standing still.
