Mexican Fire coloured 348. Nice colour. Looks like they did a great job with it also. Have the same paintjob/colour on my old Ford Fairlane. :) Love those seats too. Will have to get some for my 348 I think. :):)

In Hungary this flip-flop paintjob costs only 500$ if you can find someone who sells this type of dye without gain profit ...

Can you please explain a little better please? :):) $500? Per litre.........for complete paintjob? :)

When I had my Fairlane painted in October 2000, the paint had only just come out earlier that year. I paid AU$1000 per litre for it. Needed 3 litres to mix with the 'normal' paint to make this chameleon/flip paint effect on my car. The paint job on my Fairlane cost me AU$8000 with this paint and panel repairs also. The chameleon paint soon went up to AU$1200 per litre in 2001. Not sure what it is worth to buy now? Maybe dirt cheap? :):)

    $1000 per litre ? WOW !!!!!!!

In Hungary, some things are cheaper than in the other countries (like Austria, Germany)

The most expensive price of flip-flop paints in the city is about 300$ per litre ...

Lets have an example ... (its not a flip-flop, but a custom paintjob) my friend have this custom paintjob for her Volkswagen Corrado (for only 800 us $)

But you can buy it 150-200 $ per litre ... for sure.

I dont know that what is the procedure of flip-flop paintings (+ ground coat) etc. A little plus spending.

[Sorry for my bad English ... im still learning this language.] Good Night!

    That is cheap. :)
Back then, it was AU$1000 per litre for that paint, Mexcian Fire. It flips 7 different colours. Also had another colour called Mystic Madness. That also flips 7 different colours. That also cost AU$1000 per litre. Mexican Fire flips all the red/orange/marone/gold/yellow colours. Mystic Madness flips all the dark blue/green/black/pink/purple colours. Also very nice. :)

There was a cheaper alternative to the expensive paint. There was the basic 2 colour flip paint. Colours from red-blue. Blue-green. Yellow-green. Blue-purple ect...........That paint was cheaper at AU$500 per litre. Still expensive, considering normal 2-pac paint costs around AU$50 per litre. My car was the first car in town with Mexican Fire. A friend painted his little Ford Festiva Mexican Fire also, then sold the car out of town. There was also a Toyota Rav 4 with cheaper blue-purple flip paint. That looked cool also. Car was sold out of town too. :) My car is the only car here with that paint still. I still own the car. :):)

    Cheap. :)
The car needs to be painted in a "base" coat before this flip paint is sprayed on. Mexican Fire, the car needs to be painted an orange colour before flip paint application. You basically pay for a normal paintjob, which is around AU$5000 here, then add the extra $3000 for 3 litres of flip paint to the total bill. Thats how it works out here. :):)
    Goodnight buddy. :)

    Ahh,

The Cromaflair 348, there is also one in that colour in Germany I think?

Very expensive paint, an ex colleague developed a very similar colour for Nissan UK to use on a special edtion Primera GT and Micra, which I helped into production as a line colour!

$65, a bit cheap and cheerful that is, you only get what you pay for. One of the dearest refinish paints that I remember was a Lapis Lazuli Blue with real gold flecks in it, the cost was around £1200@ litre but very special!!

    Regards,
    Phil.
