Hey folks, The forecast says tomorrow is going to be sunny, if a bit chilly. If (and only if) it's dry, I'm going to take the car out for a mini-run in NJ someplace. An old childhood friend is in town and I'm sure he'd appreciate seeing a few exotics. Are there a few of you who might be interested in a not-too-long, *leisurely* run starting at say about 10 am? (Can't start much earlier because I have to get my car first and my friend has to come into NJ from the city...) Let me know. Best, J.
I'm with Jawad right now and he says if you bring the salt he will bring the sugar. Ill bring some strippers and we can make a stripper cake. Who's in?
not good weather for a run tomorrow or in the near future....it has been snowing hard since 6 PM along and north of the Merritt, north of I287 and I80 and the rain south of these areas and in the city should turn to snow before ending in a couple of hours...about 2 inches here in New Canaan already and plows and salt spreaders out....lots of black ice in the morning and another several weeks of bitter cold and better chances of real snowstorms so just keep the beauties in the garage with battery conditionersl...sorry.
I took the Mondi out to stretch her legs at 8AM this morning. Cold dry dense air: the motor loved it. There is salt on the roads but it's so dry that it has largely accumulated on the edges of the lanes. Cold dry salt is just an abrasive; not too bad, in small doses. Wet warm salted slush pocketing in your rear wheel wells and heated to 60+ degrees by the engine is BAD.
Agree. I took the 308 out all by myself. Saw your lovely BB at Arena (under cover, that is). How are you my friend? Hope to see you before I move to Philly at the end of the month... J.
Then we'll have to make a point of setting something up. Assuming the weather cooperates, perhaps an afternoon daylight short run followed by drinks and dinner? The Boxer may or may not be in pieces in 2 weeks. It was supposed to start its major this week but a prior commitment has kept Mr. Arena busy. No rush.
She ran well... Forgot how loud she is, having not driven her in a while... I made the mistake of not allowing enough warm-up time, though, so the shifting was really crappy. My fault. Yes, we must set something up... You around the 17th...? I may be having a farewell shindig of some sort. In any event, certainly hope to see you soon. And yeah, Steve's got some interesting things cooking in that shop. I'm sure he will take good care of your Boxer though...
