Mattel elite 60th Anniversary releases (due 2007)

I am gonna buy a Super Elite P4/5 and can't wait until they are finally hitting the market!

 

Is it just me or does it seem weird that they have basically released that there will be a F430 Light Pista (read Challenge Stradale) and Ferrari hasnt even confirmed it?

 

Any suggestions as to who will be selling these models? I'd like to get a pre-release order in place now.

It's not only HotWheels and Ferraris - but there are some beautiful shots of some of the new Elite-Ferraris.

The same happened with the Aston DBS from the Bond movie - pics of the model surfaced before the car had been announced by Aston

 

I saw they have an HW elite 250GTO for pre-order at legacy diecast. One of them is listed as black chome? Does anyone know what color this is exactly is it just black or is it something different? I emailed them but no respones yet.

I don't know what exactly is it going to be and if I had to guess it would probably be something like the Michael Schumacher 7th world title limited car was made.Like chromed and then with a black "tint".Whatever they make it I hope they fix all the flaws their current model has.Like the engine is the size of their F430's V8.The wheels and tires also don't really look convincing.I am really surprised how Ferrari lets them get away with what they are doing with their "economy" models.I just received a Superamerica for a project I'm doing for someone and I could not believe it.Both hoods are plastic and there are simply missing parts.I can say the same about their F430CH and 599.They did not improved that much their "elite series,but they instead lowered drastically the standard of their "economy".The Superamerica would be fine with plastic hoods (not really IMO)but they are different shade of red!
I just hope that whatever models they come up with and whatever colors they choose for them,they improve their quality and at least all the panels on a model match in shade.

I still don't believe they have licensing for the P4/5. I believe Jim would tell us if and when they do.

The P4/5 Hotwheels Elite and Super Elite has reported Cancelled by Mattel...

I pre ordered a 250GTO and 125S. I'd order more but I already don't have space fore those 2.

I think the hotwheels elite are pretty good quality for the price.

I can only assume Jim didn´t give Mattel the rights to the P4/5. Jim is still in the proces if licensing. He´ll keep us informed when all is done.

 

IMHO Mattel doesn't deserve to do the P4/5! Their price to quality ratio is below par. Let's hope BBR will get the rights.
