good hand car wash on LI

I'm currently at school and have no idea if and where any good hand car washed are. Im over by Garden City and I really dont want to have to drive back to NJ to get it washed so if you know any good ones in the area please let me know, thanks.

 

I can't remember the name, but there is a top notch place in Mineola. Maybe somebody in here can chime in.

What does an average detail go for there?

 

Their detailing is anything but average, you get what you pay for. Give them a call, let them know what you want.....or better yet, drive by, let them evaluate and tell you what they recommend

 

My car is not worthy of a detail *ever*. Just wondering as I have a nice car in the works and live within 20 minutes of there.

If you don't mind heading to Lawrence, try the 5 Towns Hand Wash on Rockaway Turnpike... I get a 'mini-detail' every weekend there for $26...They've taken out scratches, compounded out some nasty scrapes on the bumper (no charge), and their guys pay great attention to detail...

Whatever you do, stay away from automatic washes... The two times in the past that I tried them, my car ended up with deep scratches and swirl marks..
