Works fine for me, and good god the veryron ceases to amaze me. It gets on the gas and it just leaps forward, its gone! Incredible
To be honest the veryon gets after it earlier everytime. A R1 is a 10 second bike depending on the year. Also the R1 should easily pull on the CGT. Im not saying the CGT or the Veyron arent fast cars, they are, but the R1 was not ridden to its full potetional and the veyron gets the jump. Im a drag racer myslef and have never seen a bike get pulled on that hard before by many extremly fast cars.
I'm surprised to see the Veyron perform so well if all these machines really were pushed to the max. Utmost respect. And that bark from the CGT, when it makes its first (audio) appearance... just intoxicating!!
Have you seen it personally? I always liked it... then when I saw it I fell in love Always thought it would be big and bulky, when actually IMO its very compact and sleek. Definately much smaller than I thought it would be... apart from the tyres - they're massive!
The Yamaha R1 buried the needle, I believe that is around 190mph...!!! I wish there was an autobahn on my way to work in the morning!
Bikes don't have nearly the same acceleration advantage at high speeds. The result would probably be similar even in ideal conditions.
Your right about the R1's potential but in traffic I think that guy was very brave to go as fast as he did. Remember he has to have room for error and unforeseen incidents.
a rider with larger balls would have destroyed both cars. There was plenty of room on the inside on the corner going into the tunnel to go around both cars. They werent going that fast.
I cant really believe that, the veyron has been proven to do 0-60 in 2.5 seconds that equalls a GP500 bike, so how can you say an R1 would destroy it?
I noticed that opening too...but *if* they had made it to the highway and the coast was clear, how long do you think the R1 would have stayed in front of them? Honestly?
going around the corner like I sited.... given the speed of the cars in the video and speed of the bike. If the rider had a larger set of nards he could have EASILY gone around both cars on the inside of the curve that lead into the tunnel. The rider didnt have any lean angle and wasnt on the pipe. when racing you are either accelerating or braking... there is no coasting. Thats what the rider and the cars were doing. The rider could have taken advantage of that and "destroyed" both cars by taking them on the inside. I'm not doing an on paper comparison of 0-60 times, I'm referencing what was on the video. You can have a car or bike that will do 0-60 in 1 second... if you ride/drive like a wuss someone will pass you.
