It's rubber like mesh on top of red alcantara if i remember correctly. If this is correct, then is the mesh melted to the fabric, or just lain on top of it? I did reach in to feel, but was abruptly stopped by the Pininfarina guys.

Well that in turn should also answer the other question at hand.

I have a question regarding the wheel kissing the wheel well. Was that reworked physically on the wells themself, or was that fixed by changing suspension pieces? I only ask because I'm curious to if the body work had to be changed at all if it was not just the suspension that was changed. A raised body height would be some news as well. I remember you touching on the subject a good while back, but I don't know what ever became of it.

While we're in this interior based question mode, have you switched out your warning sticker yet? I still think "Do not open windows when in excess of 250 mph" would stir quite a ruckus. ;)

I really love the speedo upgrade. It should have been so for the Enzo, but I imagine the engineers to be modest.

Jim, just remembered something interesting. I recall hearing you say something to the effect that if you had wanted to (with altercations to the current design) your car could have had Bugatti beating speeds? What were the performance options with this car? I am sure Pininfarina would have altered the engine in any way. What was the potential? The number I heard was edging 270. I may be wrong.

Nothing was changed. The tire scrub was cleaned off. There's no need to change anything. The forces at 200 MPH on Banking vastly exceed the forces P 4/5 will ever encounter on the street. If we were to race P 4/5 on banking we'd install stiffer springs which would fix that issue but would leave one with a less confortable ride. P 4/5 is not a race car.

    Jon

These were theoretical discussions involving CX and the HP necessary to reach VMAX. The Engine in P 4/5 has not been modified in any way nor will it be to keep it fully worldwide legal.

As an aside the Veryon is an amazing car. IMHO there is no car existent that has been as fully engineered as that one or may ever be.

All of the interior is leather it looks like alcantara but it's a special leather, except for the mesh of course.

I still think it's awesome how you can see right into the back through the grille. I'll have to wait a while to see it out and about like that, but I think it will be well worth the wait. ;)

? The car is totally worldwide street legal. After high speed testing at Pininfarina's track outside of Paris CERAM we headed into Paris for dinner. We parked on the street and had a great dinner at Fouquets. Afterwards we drove around and looked at Paris at night.

I am stunned. Amazing car. The pics of it in Paris are magnificent and the one with it on the highway with everything blacked out but the very low-to-the-ground lights is great.

    Thanks for the pics.

Jim, the Paris pictures are great, off topic question did you have any white truffels with dinner that night? It might seem like an odd question but you clearly have the car thing down and every question that could be asked has been, so I just wondered how dinner was? :)

    cheers eric

    Hi Jim,

I love the pics of P4/5 in Paris. Thanks for letting us along vicariously. I especially love the view through the rear mesh. It's probably primarily for cooling the engine and exhaust. But I was curious what an open rear end does for aerodynamics. Might you shed some light on a closed rear panel versus an open panel?

    Thanks
