I currently have my car listed for sale on Cars.com and here on Ferrariads. After looking Nationwide for a car like mine for sale, I only found ONE and it's mine. Is that a sign? Help me figure out why I am selling it to move (up ..so to speak) to another FCar that there are currently 265+ for sale..... I searched ALL resources, including the Ferrari Owners Site, Ferrari Market letter and every other online publication I am aware of to find another Red/tan tb ...... there were ZERO! I think I am leaning towards keeping it... Seeking some Professional/Logical input please
Maybe not Got my eyes on a 360 6 speed. Although the 6 speed is harder to find than F1, there are still tons for sale
Dont sell it mate. You will probably regret it. You have the best 348...........errrrrrr second best 348 on Fchat. Dont sell that bad boy. We will miss ya.
NEVER! You will have to pry my 348 keys out of my hand and over my dead body. Seriously though, as much as I love my 348, I probably would sell it and "upgrade" (if you would call it that ) to a 355CH. Thats about it. Or keep for another 10 years or so and buy a 430 or 599 when they become more affordable to bums like me.
I received several (15+) inquiries on my car in a week. Then I thought to myself, someone might actually pull the trigger and buy it. And, I haven't found its replacement yet. then I got to thinking, that's why I started this thread......... It some cases, thinking is bad
I'm sure the right thing to do is get the 360, I would love one. If you have the money and want to get up the Ferrari ladder then it's the next step up but I'm another bum like Pap and will wait a few years for the F430 to come down in price I can't help but think that the 360 is in 'no mans land' and is just a stepping stone model to a 430. Reading this back to myself it sounds a bit arrogant but I don't mean it to be like that I just can't describe it any better. Does this make any sense to any one else or is it me that needs to seek medical advise!!!!
Yeah, hanging at the VCR and seeing everybody "upgrade" almost makes you want to, but then if you wanted to be like everybody else, you wouldn't have a Ferrari would you? Why not just keep your fine car and "upgrade" it? Carbon seats, challenge wheels, etc? The 348's a soon-to-be classic, fully sorted, and past depreciation. What's to gain?
So I'm not nuts then! Bruce is spot on about the depreciation thing, your going to loose lots of cash IMO on a 360 as more 430's come on the second hand market.
360's are still depreciating heavily here in Aus. 355's have slowed up a little and 348's are well settled. Will be many years before a 430 or 599 will be fully depreciated here in Australia. Although.......previous Ferrari V12's, 550M and 575M have depreciated nearly 50% in the 1st 2 years of ownership apparently. So there is hope for the 599 for me yet. Still will be years away before I could ever afford a $300K+ price tag.
I am definitely holding out for a 360. The 360 is a beautiful, reliable, well sorted out car. I have heard from my local F' dealer that some F430's are already having electronics issues. I can only imagine what those issues will be like when that car finally becomes within my reach ten years from now (if gasoline cars are still allowed on the roads by then)... But if I had a red 348tb...I would definitely keep it!
Could it be that the first batch of new cars for the new Ferrari model (430) have little gremlins at first, that are usually sorted out for the next batch of cars delivered in 2006 and 2007 ect.......? The 430 will eventually be a well sorted car like the later 360's are. I am sure the 360 also had little electrical gremlins when it was 1st realeased and that have now been sorted out. Dont forget that the 360 electronics will be older than the 430 and imagine what they will be like in 10 years time also.
Ok, ok just an opinion, I'll stick with my 348.. even if it is black........ My neighbour had a 360 and changed it for a new 430 2 years ago nearly, he hasn't suffered any problems yet and drives it regularly. I think you might find Italy will be the place to get a bargain 360 soon as the road tax has been increased substatially for performance cars. My 348 annual tax has nearly doubled this year and you know how the Italians hate to pay tax...
Good point. I apologize for confusing the color; I would keep the black 348tb too! I really hope so (although I hate taxes too), because I sold my 3.2 Mondial in the US because I will be residing permanently in Como starting this summer. I cannot imagine the fun of driving a 360 in Italy during the summer time...
I was looking at selling mine, but my son and wife convinced me to keep it. You should keep yours and buy my Competizione wheels I have for sale on ferrari ads. It would be just like getting a new car only cheaper!! he he he!!
I have my 1991 Ferrari 348TS,red/tan,Eurospec for sale,(38k)with Tubi exhaust for $77 000 CDN dollars.
If I were to get a 360 it would have to be a CS or a spider. I would hate to spend 40k-50k to go just a tiny bit faster with a normal 360. The looks are subjective and the spider....well its a spider, its ok if it is slow
