Anyone know if the Ford GT is still in the Metro Ford showroom? I didnt bring my camera because I didnt expect a GT to be there, Im thinking maybe ill make my way down there tomorrow but I dont want to waste my time if its not there.
Their was a 75 two tone blue GT4 at Car Crazys auction last fall, (in Calgary). Any of you know the car?
I just saw an M6 in the Chinook Mall parkade, was stunned since the roads are still pretty bad and this being the first time I've seen one.
Yes I do......I was there at that auction.....and my opinion of the car, as far as I can form one from a first hand visual inspection, is that it appears to be a very nice example except for the non-oem wheels. Putting it up in the air on a hoist in Allessandro's shop however may reveal something else.......what, if anything, I do not know. This car has been for sale for a while though......and I think it hit $42K at the auction and was a no sale.......which, for a 308 GT4 is absolute crack money. These cars are only worth $25K IMHO....... BTW....Calgary sucks today.....-20 and a foot of "fresh" snow on the ground....and it is snowing like crazy right now. I feel 16 years old again....I just drove a RUF 911 from my shop to the upholstery shop about 500' away......in 3rd gear with summer tires...woohoo !!......LOL !!!
Yeah thats about what I figured, it did look like a decent car. However the car backfired a couple times when it was going on to the block, most likely not a big deal. $42K wasn't real money, it was probably reserved @ $50 and the auctioneer pulls bids out of the air hoping to get a bid on the car. IMHO $25K is all the money for the car. You still can buy pretty decent GT4s in the U.S. for under $20K. I wonder if the car will be at the spring auction?
Hey Vasco....!! Yeah......the blue one did not......I miss that car. I should be in Brasil....but wifey doesn't get any more holidays for another 11 months.

Each of these can cost $3K+..........been there paid that. Complete ignition system rebuild with OEM ignition parts and/or electronic conversion kit.......a complete rebuilding of the carbs........hours of basic tune-up skills.......go try and find a guy who will touch carbs.......I found a guy with 30+ years of experience......in a city of 1MM.....there were 2 people who would do the job. One of my carbed 308's went from 114 HP to 196 HP at the rear wheels after an ignition rebuild, proper carb setup and dyno time........... BTW....it is still -19 and snowing like crazy here.......I sold a 993 Carrera 2 this afternoon.......of all things.
