    Dear SF,

I am sure the gallardo is a fine car but honestly, I suspect its recent popularity is 2 fold - 1) the price is now lower since there are more older gallados available and 2) there is no availability for 430s new or used, except at a high price. HS is quoting 7 months (or more) for delivery of new cars and the only publicly advertised 430 is exp. For example, someone sold his 430 for 680k recently. That's unheard of for a used car, even a Ferrari. As for 355s, nice as they are, frankly, they look and feel old.

    Lucky u!

I'm thinking the new Evo X not too bad. DSG technology too

Hey, your Phoebe's been in my dreams lately.....I got a Lambo factory quarterly magazine @ Euro75 which has really very "glossy" photos. Nice, like the Patek magazine. Featured arts, personalities, history, photoshoots.

They put a titanium LP640 on board an aircraft carrier & a Phoebe Spyder down Miami. It's 1 part Ocean Blue & 3part white then stirred.

I think high time Ferrari should do something like this, I'm sure many people would work for it even free with factory sponsors. Proper magazines help boys dream & when the boys grow up, they want to fulfill their dreams....

Hi CT, agree on all. Most of us couldn't even get a 430 for testdrive & compare while most cannot tahan the waiting time. I took it because I thought it's good time to upgrade & a change in branding experience is nice. I can always go back besides my "scrap" value is very high + the warranty thrown-in which is a double joy & accessories, triple joy.

Frankly, I have been looking at some of the 04 gallardos but there are no bargains to be had. I have said it before that I have nothing against Lambos. I see nothing wrong owing one or the other (ie a Ferrari) at some point in time. I think our friend kdk once made a good point (yes he does make a gd point from time to time) that ultimately people gravitate to what's new although they may return to the "old" when that becomes new again.

Many of the Ferrari owners are simply keen to give the Lambo a go since its "new".

At the end of the day, owners like us do not really need to get involved in the "fight" between the 2 rival dealers, assuming the 2 dealers themselves are on bad terms (they are probably on no worse terms with each other as with other dealers).

Further, one day both HS and Euro may both be thrown into the same boat if Ferrari and Lambo/VW decide to start their own dealerships here.

I have also been looking at returning to porsches and (gulp) an M6. Must say I was quite impressed with the beemer although I used to flinch at the idea of owing a BMW before.

I guess the biggest news has been Ah Wai's departure to a PI. I guess the PIs are getting their act together but they have also been raising their prices to a point where I query if they have forgotten that the reason why pple buy from them is primarily because of the price. At this rate, I feel they are "driving" me back to Stuttgart who now seem more reasonable.
