Interesting to see the Red Bull on top. Also, the STR is finally being tested. I don't get this, just alternate Scott with Tony in the car so he can get some seat time. This is ridiculous, they're obviously not going to replace him. Do they think it's best to keep him worried about his job and out of the car so long?
Ahyone else think that Massa continually topping Kimi in the times will continue throughout the season? And who is that dude in the second pic...he looks familiar...
He couldn't beat his teammate when paired with Fisi or Heidfeld. What makes you think he can beat someone like Kimi?!?
and you continue to beat this dead horse argument! Kimi will still have some learning curve at Ferrari and Massa is already familure with the car. It is likely that Massa will out qualify Kimi early, but may be more evenly matched later in the season.
Man, MS looks bored and not happy. He is probably thinking that "I can do much better". I would like to see him back in the car.
What I couldn't believe was the sight of Sato's name on the list. How could they not have gotten rid of that guy with all the better alternatives out there? Matt M
it must be killing Ms not to be in that car !!!! He could have easily won a championship this year....WTF
I'm not the one trotting out the tired old "Can Massa beat Kimi" question. I am only pointing out the facts. You don't have to like them but they are true. This is all academic anyway, the season starts next month and we can finally put to rest the notion that Massa is anything but a midpack runner in a superb car. Kimi is going to own him. It is a new car for 2007, is it not? How long do you expect Kimi to take to come to grips with the car? He is not exactly a rookie at this, you know.
Doesn't matter. Kimi is on a different planet compared to Massa. Ferrari pays him $53 million for a reason.
Sato has alot of Japanese money behind him, and SA is a Japanese team. There's no way they'd fire that guy.
It seems you have quite a Massa fixation. Kimi still needs to work with the Ferrari team. He can come to grips with the car quickly, but team dynamics is another thing. Stating your OPINION over and over does not make it fact, it just makes you look like a tool. I'll wait for the season to start and remind you of your OPINION after the first few races. Sorry if the list is not complete. I got tired after page 2. I'm sure the nexttwo pages were more of the same.
Remember it is only testing, lets wait and see what happens. I agree that Speed should be getting some testing though. As far as Sato that team exists for him. That is the only reason SA is around is because of Sato.
yep, pretty crazy eh...the politics, and $$$ behind him... SA is not interested in finding a 'better' driver...they're not interested in fairing better in races. they just care that Sato is a team driver. apparently he's quite the figure in Japan. crazy...
I thought japan is the land of rising or something like it. Why not a bestdriver for great SA(MS not Sato) team? BTW, I like japanese cars and girls.
i too, was not entirely 'happy' with Massa's performance last year. but i don't get so emotionally invested in the 'disappointment' to continually bash the guy... could he have done better for the team...earned more points? of course. could another driver have done more? possibly. he had a great car, yes, but he could have done worse too. either way i don't understand the level of emotional investment in hating, or praising any driver. just like all Scuderia faithfuls, of course i get bummed when they don't do well, or underperform. but i don't drive for them, i don't have a single thing to contribute to the outcome of the races, i just cheer. and constantly dwelling on the "should of's" doesn't do any good....shoulda got another driver, shoulda qualified better, shoulda won every race, etc... i just cheer knowing i have absolutely no control over the success of the Scuderia.
There is one Japanese driver named Satoshi Motoyama. He's won the Formula Nippon (Japanese equivilent of say GP2 or Champcar) 5 times. He's also won the GT championship twice. His accomplishments far surpass those of any other Japanese driver. Now why didn't he get the seat? Why did unproven Ide get it? Why did relatively unaccomplished Yamamoto replace him? Why does highly erratic Sato get to keep his seat? Politics and $$$$$. It's a damn shame.
