Nope finance company cant do that for U. Unless you bought a new car and the dealer got the number plate for you and "included" it into your purchase price. You did not hear this from me
not much, that's the problem...i must admit that having a nice plate, in my humblest opinion, is truly vanity of the highest order but what to do? hiao is like that one!
Single digit numbers can be quite ex. Sometimes you have to inform "regular" bidders that you would like that particular number, so as gentlemen's agreement they wont bid against you. Expect to pay 22K for No 1 of any series. 9 should be about 12-15K.
interesting info, particularly about "regular" bidders, thanks. only ever bid once for a number and that was because the entire plate then spelt out my wife's initials and family name. unsuccessful (winning bid was allegedly 50K!) but saw the number again recently at es on one of the gcars. anyways, thanks for chatting. going to vamoose now for dinner. have fun guys, catch up later.
If it is on a gcar, that would explain the occasional "crazy price" Most welcome! Will try to contribute whatever little knowledge (non-technical) I have on cars Have a good dinner!
Yap, shouldn't pay more than S$15k IMO & don't think you'll keep the car for long either where it's only more meaningful on that particular model.
I have to agree with you, Your Royal Hiao-ness. Not that I'm superstitious, but when I got my car last year, it came with the number 4*14 which I wasn't comfortable with, since the first 2 digits was my age and the last 2 well... you know what it means in Cantonese.
