what happens to a 355 spyder when its been sitting outside in the rain/ice?

If the owner/dealer cared about the car, it wouldn't be outside....

If the dealer left the car outside and all it has is snow and ice on it, a proper cleaning is all it needs and there shouldn't be a problem. If the car was driven in snow and ice, then that is a different problem, because the car now has road salt and grime in every crack and crease that a simple washing will never clean.

Most convertible tops can endure a fair amount of water, ice and inclement weather before there are any ill-effects. Again, this is if the car was sitting, and not driving in this weather.

If the seller can clean the car and it checks out mechanically in every way, being left out in the snow is not an issue.

 

Probably taken 10yrs off the life of the paint and the top. But bah.......whatever.

 

Give me the guys name that left the car outside----I shall hunt him down like the dog he is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

This pains me to no end because the car he is talking about is a Fiorano (#38) and it is only about a mile from me. I have to drive by it all the time. He just doesn't care if it's out in the rain.

 

Almost seems as if does not deserve to own the car (in a sense, he probably has worked hard for it and deserves it. ) but sell it to someone else to drive it and enjoy it and to look after it with tender loving Ferrai care.

 

It's a used car lot, not an individual owner. It's not his either, he is selling it for someone else. Somebody please buy it so it doesn't have to sit outside. Should I take up a collection or something.

 

How about you just buy it?

 

And add it next to your 355 Spider you already own.

I made him an offer. He has called me several times and we have gotten somewhat closer in price. Even though this would mean I would have two 355's that look very similar. I just figured after a couple months I would figure out which one i liked the best.
