there's a new "old" ferrari in my building carpark. saw it this morning when i was parking. its a red 308 that appears to be in quite good condition with a two-digit plate. not very loud. that brings the fcar quotient in my building to four again, after i sold my 355. the brilliant thing is that they are all different models, viz. yellow 430 spider, blue 550, red 355 and red 308. i wonder if anyone else in town has such a high number of fcars sitting in their building carparks.

rara, did you drive your gcar in today? may kaypoh later if you did. no mood to work lah...

Its sad when someone needs a car plate of this price to prove their worth.

A 308 is not old, its a classic. Its been consistently voted as the No1 or No2 overall Ferrari of all time, alternating with the Dino 246 and 250 GTO.

No - I don't think so. 360 spider still at silly prices and I would avoid. Gallardo is better bet price wise. Of course, one should always buy the post SE cars if possible. But then everything has a price. Pre SE also means cheaper.

ct, 308 is old. period. thats the reason why it has been catergorised by you as a classic. in fact it may be the No 1 or 2 ferrari but that doesnt mean its not old what. old is old. old however does not mean " no good". so a 308, "classic" as as it may be, is still old. whasssup ??

with respect, something does not become a "classic" overnight. there are elements of it having withstood the test of time before something can be termed a classic. as such, i don't think it's inaccurate to discuss the car in question as old!

notwithstanding the votes you speak about, i'm sure there will be many dissenters if i were to call the 308 a classic and, you know what, that's the beauty of a forum like this where people can express their differing views. for the record, i disagree that it's a classic but hey, don't hold that against me!

my two cents' worth ct? you make some good points which i enjoy reading but let's not descend into pedantry. i get paid for doing that at work and this forum is my little escape from that.

    peace.
