Best of luck on the 2nd Enzo, are there any that you're looking at? Which cars were you looking to unload, I doubt that most of the sports cars can be good on your back. Keep up the nice work :)

I am still relatively young, but have already figured out that i will never truly achieve happiness. We spend all our lives chasing that idea of "happiness", but in the end thats also what most of us die doing. The best of us are the ones who find happiness in chasing that dream, so dont feel too bad about it Eric, for most of the world is in the same boat as you.

I don't know..I'm pretty happy. I think if you don't waste your life chasing the idea of perfect happiness and be grateful with what you have, you will be happy.

I think I would be happy if I owned a nice house with a car collection of my dreams. Do I think I'd be happier than I am now? Maybe a little bit, but not much. Maybe I'm saying this because all of my favorite sporting teams have won the big one recently (except the Bears  ). But seriously, I've always found the chase more exciting most of the time. I don't ever want to feel satisfied (or fully accomplished) in life.

Very nice collection, Eric. The black and white Phantoms look very nice. Is that '99 CL600 back there? One of my favorite MBs. Built them like tanks. I also see the buying-in-pairs idea. Sounds like something I'd do if I had the money for it.

There are times in life when you just feel like all you can do is pursue happiness, but all you really have to do is love the condition you're already in. If you're focused on the road ahead, then how can you improve on what you have right now? If you just take each day as they come, and do your best, love your life, then what can go wrong? Sure you will have hard times. Everyone has had their fair share, be it years, or even decades, or for some a few days could be the worse than their worst visions of hell. The key is to remember that tomorrow is another day, but today is the day. The day to make a difference in your life. The day that you can just sit back and enjoy the good you have done. The day you can turn around and change any bad you have done. Putting things off for tomorrow, that you could do today will only make it easier for you to extend it further and further away.

Today is your day. Live it to the fullest, and there will not be one day that you do not love your life. In which case, you will never say that you aren't happy.

Just personal views based on my very short (in comparison to many others here) life.

    Best,
    Peter Hatch

Happiness is knowing that there is no such thing. Happiness is what you make of it, whether you're in a good state or not. Happiness is being ass broke and still laughing and enjoying life, because every moment counts.

I speak from experience. There have been times in my life where I felt like absolute **** and thought myself unhappy, but why? Instead, I decided to still have fun and enjoy the things I did have around me to the utmost.

I try to explain it to friends, but most scoff at the idea. To many in this day and age, money, power, fame, or possessions are thought to create happiness. Not so!

Maybe having money w/o any responsibility may reduce some stress, but you'll find it somewhere. The idea isn't to learn to manage life through its ups and downs. You will find that the journey is so much more worthwhile than the destination.

the sports cars are the best for my back the angle leaning backwards and vibration relieves the pain, the RR's are the worst, i'm dumping 1 RR perhaps 2, the maybach62 and a few other cars,

the S600 in the back of the pic is a 97 with 60K miles on it and it is WAAAY better quality construction, fit and finish than the Maybach, RR's. The ride is just as good it just lacks the power of the new cars, i'm keeping that one.

after seeing the magazine its a trip for me, i never thought ever that I'd be in that spot I saw 15 to 20 years ago a similar artivle "behind the gates of a big house and the cars in it" the went on about how he wasnt famous just successful, and thats what I wanted, I have some friends who are famous and dont have alot of $$$, not tom cruise famous but athlete famous and one actor, and a few charcter actors.

what i saw in that magazine got me thinking i accomplished another goal, they came to me, i didnt go to them, perhaps they will send me cookies for the favor. But it shed alot of light on my success, you see when i look in the mirror or call my CFO I never see enough $$$ and thats bad.

i still havent came to grip with it, i'm not talking about being famous, i dont want that. but seeing all those cars and what I thinking when I bought them. how I came this far and cant grasp it. A friend told me I ws putting to much info on these posts-he was just looking out for me, i put that information up to see peoples responses to gain personal insight of myself.

P 4/5 Jim is what I want to like be someday, not the $$$, but how he is as a man and how he handles himself and his fame, he isnt a celebraty but in the Ferrari world he is.

I can't afford the 4 payments of $49 but I was wondering if you'd loan me the money over, say, 12 monthly payments? What sort of interest rate can you give me bud?

I hope this isnt too personal...but Eric, who are you? Are you someone famous or somewhat famous? Or do we all just love you because you have a prestine taste in motor vehicles. Either way, I think you are already very well respected in the Ferrari community.

    Eric,

Truly sorry to hear that your parents are gone , but dont let that be the end of your happyness. You are still very young and you can still have a family of your own. I know finding the right woman to be the mother of your kids isnt easy but as with everything you have achieved through hard work, it will be worth it.
You probably know that already but dont think that with your parents gone you cant be happy anymore.

From my understanding, Eric is not famous per se, but is well known in the exotic car community for having a great collection. He's a private individual with a nice collection who has just had his colleciton featured in a magazine and has shared some additional photos with us.

I think thats about the size of it.

    Cheers

He's an entrepreneur who made his money in the sub-prime market and real estate as stated here. And also a really nice guy by the looks & sounds of it.

Pick up the recent Luxury & Modified mag. He's in there. Cool pics.
