On probation, doing 125. Anybody want to start a pool to see how long it will take to have it suspended again.
lol, over the past 60 ive made some very important friends, and did "volunteer" work for the right people
Glad to see you got your license back - Woohooooo!!! When the weather gets a little nicer, we're going for a ride in the Spider
Hmmmm, only 2.5 hours at DMV. I guess they are cleaning up the process. Well, let us know when you get off the driving "High" and how many tickets it got you to stop.
OK, I am pretty sure this is still possible, at least until they institute a national drivers license.... Professional drivers, ( A.K.A truck drivers, long haul larry) NOT Schumi...are known to have multiple, like 4 or 5 drivers licenses from different states....and when they get pulled over , they hand the cop the state license with the least ( or most) points...kinda like having multiple credit cards so that one is maxed out. since patriot act , I think it is getting much harder to get a license but who knows, some states might not have caught up yet or are too poor to institute changes and monitor their drivers etc. I have a buddy who has a place in St. Tropez and has a EU license...I wonder if a cheap cancun or cota rican condo can qualify you for a mexico or costa rican drivers license....( funny, kinda illegal immigration documentation in reverse!) anyway this was how it was done a long time ago in the CB smokey and the bandit days....
haha, they havent clean up anything. They are still clowns at the DMV. I should get joey to go there and call them clowns. I dont think you can. I have a commercial license also (for shoots and stuff). Got that back also today Def. I am always down for a drive!
see that's the key be first or last. I've always gone in at most 30 minutes before close and it's never taken me more than 10 minutes to get anything done.
Same here and another thing ....... sometimes it pays to drive an hour further and go to a DMV that is in the sticks.
Not a bad strategy. It is amazing how quickly DMV can process things in order to not be late for quitting time!
hey hey! leave some of the pimple faced teenagers alone! I went to get my permit, and: walked in signed papers=5 minutes Took test=3 minutes got a 100, its too easy Walked out took my picture =5 minutes Lazy ladies @ the computer =10 minutes ~ 30 minutes and i was out and driving, plus 10% off my insurance for that 100 the lines @ the DMV in Carle Place are actually pretty short, i went @ 9 oclock on a friday
NJ and NYC dmvs are terrible. You have to wait atleast 2 hours before anything gets done unless you get there when it opens. Im just glad I turned 21 (august) so I dont have to renew mine for a while.
Its ridiculous how easy it is to pass...I know someone who took it 2 weeks ago and got 5 wrong out of 20. 6 is a failure...
yeah i know seriously, its a complete joke. I signed up for drivers ed with 3 of my friends from school, and they passed their permits with grades from 85-95... and they have no idea what they're doing on the road! We need some better tests and exams in the DMV offices quickly.
How about this for a business opportunity: Code a random driver simulation program that takes the driver through "normal" traffic situations for say 10 minutes. Throw a few "gotcha's" into the mix like a driver failing to stop for a stop sign cutting you off. So every two years you need to go to the DMV to renew your license (or this could even happen while your vehicle is being inspected at the state facilities). you insert your license into the machine. You sit in the simulator with a very similiar car interior (junk yards are wonderful) and two or three large wide screen LCD monitors. The "driving" begins. The simulator records your responses. You accumulate point for each traffic infraction. Too many points and you loose your license on the spot and your issued a "retest" ticket. all this is electronic so records are be logged to the state instantaneoulsy. You can also have a "standard" questions piece of the test too. Like "what is the NJ blood alcohol limit for driving?" "how many points do you get for driving without a seat belt" "on average, how many accidents per day involve cell phone use and driving" again, too many wrong, you loose your license on the spot. a side business? Flat-bedding all the failure's cars back to their residence. collecting fees for those who leave their cars behind (or tow them to impound) get real slick and make the simulation & questions available via the web and folks can do this on-line at their convenience and at their home. However, I certainly wouldn't want to try & do a simulation with a keypad! But it's their license, let 'em try if they want or if they have the proper equipment. You can also log IP address of the users and try & track fraud. I suspect you won't get any more fraud than you do today. Loosing your license for not being able to drive isn't as brutal as it sounds. perhaps that's preventing one less accident or death. And when someone chooses to ignore a traffic signal, at least you know they knowingly did it and it isn't from sloppy driving habbits and because "everyone else does it". Shivam: Interested?
