I have a copy of the dyno chart of the world record holding Ultima.... the dyno chart is almost identical to mine. The world record car is not really a standard ultima, it is a highly modified small block chev. Mine is a brand new corvette engine with a blower.... if you wanna see something really crazy check out this one that belongs to the guy that put my engine package together.... twin turbo 6.6 litre.... over 1000hp http://www.schwartzperformance.com/alien.htm

Should be test driving it Monday or Tuesday... then out to play next Sunday

Ah yes now I remember. But then again there must be many issues you have to contend with, durability of components, chassis flex, cooling...? What are your intents for this car? Drag or track?

I have a T plate lined up for the inaugural test drive on Wednesday, then borrowing it again on Sunday... fingers crossed that all goes well.

Tried to take it for a spin Wed evening...but oil pressure was low.

There's a hole for a temp sender in the adaptor for the oil cooler. When I first started the car I found this when oil pissed out everywhere from the hole, so I put a bung in it. I was worried that the bung might be too long so I didnt screw it right in. The engine ran with full oil pressure like this a few weeks ago, but there was a small drip of oil there so I tightened it on Wednesday. Given that this is the only thing that has changed since I last ran it Im thinking that my original fear that the bung might be too long may be true.... I think its going too far into the oil gallery and restricting oil flow.

It was 8pm by the time we were ready to run it and I realised this was the problem but it was too late and I was worn out, so I put it away rather than push my luck.

The struggle now is with the T plate, my mate with the plates is taking a bike for a run on Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday morning.

Im picking up the plates Friday night and will have them until Saturday afternoon, then again Sunday afternoon... so I will be out and about on Saturday morning between Clearwater Bay and Sai Kung then again Sunday afternoon - not sure where yet.

How did it go? Pry the plates away from SV! He is a legend for riding with a T Plate across his back. Much better used on your weapon than his vintage bikes!

Took her out Saturday up to SV's place... yes they were his plates.

Tom finished the exhaust - it sounds much better with 2 into 1 tip. Currently running the stock vette manifolds and stock cats - no mufflers. Sounds much more European with the single pipe.

Ive still got a few finishing off bits and pieces to do, but she's up and running. Hoping to get his plates for this Sunday.

How'd it go.... skidmarks all over the place, mostly in my underpants. It is INSANELY fast.... 580hp + 555lb/ft torque. Its so low, so light and handles like a gokart... the whole experience is very hard to explain, its a HUGE difference to anything else you'll ever have been in. My staff asked me what it is like and the only way to describe it is "its the sort of car all of you guys will go for a ride in once - and never again"...

A friend called it "nice" the other day then corrected himself and said nasty.

Another friend calls it "the gokart on crack"

HAHA.....DM...wait till you hear my 2.0 flat six sucking on twin weber 40's sans air filters in person...now that is truly music to the ears......

But if I was to pursue a kit car project I would pursue the P4 with a 348 v8 setup.....perhaps in the near future...
