Well i just read out the whole topic. Kudos to you Eric on achieving what you wanted to business wise. And believe me, there is always time for happiness. Very touching story is yours Best, MW
Thanks. I definitely screwed up with some typos though. "low liability" was supposed to be "high liability" "Mom mom's" was supposed to be "My mom's" Maybe I screwed up somewhere else too. Good thing I don't have dreams of being an editor. Thanks. Somewhat been there. Somewhat still getting there. I echo this, but I also echo the fact that somebody pointed out - extremely ambitious people are rarely completely satisfied/happy and I know from experience on some scale. It's difficult to balance happiness for what you've got with ambition, because ambition naturally spawns from wanting something better/more and that can definitely be because you don't really like what you have ... and greed can be part of this too even from people who have the best of intentions. I have come to find that the best I can do is to be happy with my ambition and appreciative of what I have while sharing life with people and things I enjoy and balancing giving back. Where the lines blur with that is whether the appreciation can truly be considered as happiness. It's the sharing part that motivated me to post, because of the sharing dreams with parents thing. The only other thing I forgot to add was that of course I'm sorry for anyone's loss of loved one(s) and I know what that's like too as I've lost close friends and relatives, just luckily not my parents yet. Pictures, video and memories of lost ones can be bitter sweet but they are better than nothing. As the saying goes.... it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. As far as Eric's famous ETA, my guess is infomercials for Personal Development. I don't know though, but I think I recall some utterances from him and he seems the type. I enjoy PD to an extent and it may have helped me save my own life long ago and I have also been a PD leader in business and sports at times .... for a period focusing only on PD. Some of my thoughts on PD is that PD can be like any religion and full of more hype than practicality. Hope that comes from hype is not completely invaluable, but too much of it is absolutely disgusting to me as it can be damaging from too much hope with little results or at least inefficient or ineffective due to the absence of practical and methodical direction in concert. Practicality is always best, as in not just positive affirmation but methodical habits and as in not just becoming motivated but figuring out why you are/should be and how you are going to exploit that in an efficient manner and really doing what it takes. Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, Best to everyone...... except some of you jackasses .... j/k ... maybe.
Did you know what you wanted to do with your life when you were younger? I think frustration about not knowing which direction to take in life can cause such ill feelings...
All I know is before Eric became popular in the forums he extended himself to meet me.. I know all he could really offer were gay pornstars, but he seemed like a tRu EC PlaYa so I said WTF..I'll chill..
i knew exactly what i wanted when i was 4 or 5 years old, not to be riding around in banged-up old cars and to ba able to have staff handle the shopping, cooking and laundry instead of watching my partent bust their asses, thats why i'm so driven I REFUSE TO LIVE MY LIFE LIKE THAT.
Are you still looking for a enzo couple advertised in the sunday times (UK spec I guess) £580 ish of your english pounds may px for some of your warm weather
i'm 3-6 months out from my 2nd Enzo, unless something bad happens. I have a few projects that are costing me ALOT of upfront $$, but thats cool, its sound business and i dont mind to wait. I'm not one of those impulsive ,instant gratifaction kinda guys unless its ice cream for $5 or something, i'm more comfortable right now watching the market on Enzo's and sorting out my $$$ so when the right deal pops up like lasttime it takes a day with no hesitation andI dont feel it. You should never let buying a car affect anything in your life except what your going to drive, if it impacts your finances then you cant afford it. I have not sacafricased anything but buying jet, but cars are more practical and in all honesty the running costs of a jet would impact my retained earnings for future ventures so its a bit earily for a jet, however I wont let myself get to old to enjoy having one before I buy my jet. no yachts for me.
Dam I was about to spend every dollar I had on a new car. Are you sure on this? Would this be sound financial advise?
JUST DO IT remember YOU can live in a car it has air con, doors, windows, heating and you can change the location as soon as you get fed up. Plus people cannot come and stay with you if they cannot find you
I was speaking with a colleague who has many wealthy relatives. He told me that the main benefit of having money is that it allows you to help people. I never really thought of it that way, but that really stuck with me. It sounds to me like you have been given your success because you will use it to make the world a better place. We need more people like you.
Agreed. I also understand you're looking into a matte black Enzo, Eric? Any decals or anything on it if you do?
I was looking through my pictures and I came across a great picture I never looked at before. I have a bunch of pictures of Eric's collection and if you guys want me to post them I'll post them in this thread or make a new one. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw a yellow GTR and a black GTR at Lambo Beverly Hills in late 2003 alongside an EB110SS and a couple XJ220's, but those are side details.
the black car was just a GT, I wish I bought it, they were on Wilshire Bl, the yellow GTR is sitting in my garage, there were 2 blue Bugatti EB110's one had an USA vin# the other didnt, they were there together sometimes sometimes there was just one, Vik ownes that dealership, he still does its Lotus of Beverly Hills now, they just became the Lotus dealership. Good people. He has the 2 of 5 XJ220s or something like that(not just stock XJ220's, he sold all those) they are track use only cars the factory only built 5 of them. They are beyond fast low 3's 0-62mph etc, They wouldnt clear a curb anywhere they are that low it would be impossible to drive them except on a track. Jason, great shot of the yellow Enzo. perfect angle.light etc.
Tempoary ones all the time, to help promote a run or dealership etc, to help any of my friends who are in the car biz I would be glad to. For Example I have decals all over my blue GTR for Lamborghini of Orange County because i'm friends with the owner, So I let him decal it how he wanted to. The paint on that car isnt the best, if it was then i wouldnt because I would want to risk the damaging the paint.
he is amazing, he is also a great friend and person. He stays with me when he comes to the west coast, in a few years he will be a world class car photographer, he already has the skills he just needs time to market himself and get the recognition from the publishers etc that can take him places in business, sooner than later he will be there.
i didn t know that he is "speedracer" all pics are wonderfull, varieties of car color,angle..well all is nice for me. he s lucky to do this job, but he knows that...i regret that he don t used some models near to the cars...should be the perfection.
