man, i'm seeing soooo many 888 plates lately, saw another two today, and i was only outside for about 13 minutes because it was too hot.

Nah its not Kayman, close... sort of... It's Keeghan but there is no 7 letter plates in Vic.

 

Like QLD, 6 letters in VIC? SA and WA are lucky buggers! I have seen 9 letters from WA. Is that the max.......Vmax?

 

You can get 7 letters in QLD, you've just got to pay for them, and only when they are auctioned. They sold 8 at the motor show the week before last. Including BENTLEY which went for $110000, the other 7 you could get you own combination but I wouldn't bother as if you're a porsche owner as nearly all the models are taken.

 

Serious?? Since when? My brother enquired about 7 and 8 letter plates back in 2000 and they said nada. That was over the phone to a Transport Department in Brisvegas.
So I can walk into the local Transport Department and order a 7 letter plate? 6 letter 'Prestige' plates cost $2200. Or you cannot get 7 letter plates anymore and you have to get whatever the 7 letter combo is at auction?
BENTLEY for $110K is crazy!

 

yeah its only 6 in Victoria at the moment.

But it wasnt long ago you either had just stock plates or white on black personalised ones. So we have hope yet.

 

Does anyone own the QLD plate FERRARI? 7 letters? What would that sell for?

 

Can't get them every day unfortunately. Only at the PPQ auctions. It started a few years ago when they auctioned off FERRARI for $85000, which is pretty cheap now. Most of the ones auctioned are make your own plates but they have a couple already for them to auction off.

 

Yep, I think 9 is the maximum, as far as I can recall it's a once-off $450-ish charge and that's it... so you can have GAYCOWBOY and not have to get bent over for it every year
