Brook's album was doomed a long time ago, when she got involved with Pearlman. I was shocked to find out Storch was working with her. Seems to me he's just taking on gigs now for $$. If he really cared, he'd never work with her. She's as bad, if not worse than Ashlee Simpson. If it wasn't for her dad...

About his spending, I'm sure he's got "other avenues of income", but who knows. Wouldn't be the first time a producer wound up living beyond his means. Just look at 90% of them in LA.

This guy's name came up at dinner when I was in Dallas. Most of the people at the table were music guys - heavy into following producers and the like. Someone said they thought his sound was getting "dated" and people started naming a few new guys who had, what they considered, fresher ideas. Most agreed with this assessment. I didn't recognize a single person they were talking about, which means I'm getting old!!

Djui, I cannot for the life of me remember a single one of their names. I'd never heard of any of them and I truthfully hadn't heard of this Storch guy until recently, either. The things he's produced, yes I knew, but no idea who he was. I'm not much into hip hop - or cRAP - music as you can tell. I pay zero attention to that genre although I know people who live and breathe it.

I'm waiting to see the pics of the Veyron from 'xport' and I want to hear about the upcoming magazine feature from Daniel. Still, some of the off-topic stuff is interesting.

I'm a big Scott Storch fan. For those wondering. He is a pianist originally. He has played the Piano since age 9 and dropped out of HS in the 10th grade. Shortly after he was kicked out of his house. Afterwards he worked at Pizza Hut did construction and finally ended up being a keyboard player for the phili hiphop group the roots. From there he was pointed to Dr.Dre by his child hood friend Eve. Dr.Dre taught him alot about producing and Scott enfused his own middle eastern influenced style of music to produce records for many of the top artists today. He grossed over 50 million in 2005 I believe. Had 35 tracks as #1 in 2005. I call that pretty impressive. He has also produced many hit records for non pop/hiphop artists as well.

He is a nice guy. The bling, cars, boats, and houses... Seems like a lot of your are jealous here calling the Veyron ugly and the bling wiggerish. If you had all that money and you were 30 you'd be rocking it too.

    Definitely !

He was in the right place at the right time, and used his skills to get to the top, surely he deserves it.
