    Hi Paul,

From personal experience when I had my TR I've had no problems with the ferry ramp. As you may or may not know the TR had a very long front overhang and as long as you don't 'boot it' on the ramp you should have no problem with the CS. Also with some success, I've also requested of the ticket booth person to place me in the truck lane which loads me onto the bottom portion of the ferry. I find the bottom ramp is flat compared to the upper ramp.

Having said that, if you're coming, make sure you get a reservation and most importantly get on the super ferry. I find the super ferry had less ramp incline than the old small ferries.

So to sum it up, first get a reservation on the super ferry and when you get to the terminal request to be with the semis. Hope this helps.

Peter, long time no see! I hope you're coming to the event.

    Cheers

I've skipped the Island for the same reason - 348's also have a fair bit of overhang. I heard a story of one 348 losing their front spoiler on the Nanaimo run, but that the Victoria lower deck ramps are supposedly much easier.

Apparently the tides are reasonable for this weekend - and with the truck deck I think I'll give it a try. Not sure how the preferred boarding card works with the truck deck.

At least we can offer a 3-fer-1 deal on cracked TR, 348, and CS spoilers as a group if we fail - and all the easier to get back on for the return trip :)

Great time to be heading to NZ - I loved it down there.

But surely you jest that "they'd bend over backwards..."! BC Ferries has improved substantially but - well, have a great trip and we can talk later!

BTW, one of the Conti GTs was a dark red/brownish special edition car. Pretty nice. Different rims and a great looking paint job.

FMoV's new building will have two stories underground; one for service and beneath that, parking. There will be two stories above ground with the first floor for Ferrari and the second for Maserati and the anticipated Alfas. Above that, there will be furhter roof-top parking. Looks very nice and much better suited to the brand than their current digs.

BTW, looking back at the SV pics from Lambo, the interior indicates that it's a 99, no?

    Hi

I want to buy a 328 in BC. Prefer GTS but would consider a a GTB. Might also consider 308QV ('84-5). I am in touch with Joseph, but thought some of you on the forum might know of a car and be able to help, maybe someone wanting to move up. PM me if you might have a lead.

    Thanks
    Jon

good picks - but you'll likely need to buy from out of province for the right car. I don't see many 328's on the market in BC, and can "sometimes" have issues. These are 20 year old cars now, often with tired bushings, hoses, seals.

ZR always seems to have a couple for sale.

ZR's cars are from Europe... Once they are brought into BC, they'll need to be rigorously inspected (see notice sheets below, 2006 and the latest changes for 2007) and WILL NEED at least lighting modifications (DOT marker lights, headlights, third stop light) if not more mods (I think the 328's will have the required AS-type glass). If his cars don't have cats on them, they may have a harder time passing Aircare.

At last year's Italian Cultural Centre show, the 328 parked next to my car was for sale. Since I wasn't in the market to buy, I didn't get his contact details, nor his asking price. Nice car though. There's a few in the Lower Mainland, so one of them are bound to come up for sale - in time for this year's driving season?...

    My apologies, I'll correct myself:

The Black/Tan 328 GTS they currently have for sale is a North American spec car (side marker lights and third, centre stop light), which should have no problem passing inspection.

Thank you for your helpful posts. I believe the red/tan in your photo is a North Vancouver car whith which I am familiar. I will follow up. I spoke wth ZR last week. The black / tan is apparently a US spec car, although it came in through Switzerland. They have had it for considerable time. And yes, I would definitely like to get something for driving season.

Just a head's up - there is a black on black car in Vancouver with an ugly ICBC report. I know you'll surely run a ICBC check and Carproof, but this car was represented as "accident free".

There was also a Silver on Red car with ~800km available about a year ago... The nice cars are out there, you mostly just need some luck ;)

there was a black on black 328 GTB at Urban Garage a few years ago with quite a story behind it, supported by a ripped piece of flapping fiberglass underneath.

A lot of these cars have been driven hard (which is ok if maintained) and hit solid things, often on race tracks (not ok, imo).

I was surprised how many cars would have their accident damage repaired off the books. I saw a few 348's with $30-40k of repair work done.
