I am finishing up my MBA and part of our last set of couses is spending time in Europe. We are going to Moscow and Prague for business and then my wife and I are stopping in Italy for a few days. It will be our first time there and we would really like to go to the Ferrari plant but I cannot find a way to get to see it. Her uncle has had several F cars but the last he bought new was a 1991 Testarossa (he had a 512BB before that).

I have a 2007 Corvette convertable now but I am hoping to join the Ferrari ranks in a few years.

Does anyone have any advice / connections that could help us fulfill this dream in getting to tour the plant, etc

Thanks so much in advance. We are going to be in Italy on April 27-30 this spring

    Robert

use the search funtion and you'll get your answers - only owners can tour the Ferrari Factory - when you get yours, get an application thru the nearest dealer

Tried once before I owned an F car by talking to the people at the gate. Do not waste your time. It will not work. The second time, after I bought my TR, I set it up with Ferrari of North America. No problems - got right in. I have heard that it is possible to get in without ownership but there must be some angle. Would love to hear from others on this.

Ask the uncle to get in touch with his dealer then and maybe they ll let you in. But in all honesty , you are not missing much...

If i were you, id set up a tour of the small carrozerias around the factory which restore the old cars and maybe Zanassi which takes care of special paints for Ferrari.
That is where the passion is...The Ferrari Factory is like a CIA facility..

We went to the Ferrari factory in November. We told the lady at the gate that all we wanted to do was go inside, look around, maybe drive a few Ferraris. She laughed and gave us directions to the Galleria Ferrari (MUST see!).

    Robertpel9,
The uncle angle may be worth a try. On my tour back in June 03, one of the people in my group was the son of an owner. It worked for him. BTW, I found the tour to be very worthwhile. Also agree that it does not have to be new car purchased from a dealer. I had to fax a copy of my title to Ferrari of North America and they got the VIN from that.

FNA will need to recognize you as an owner. The dealer from whom I purchased my cars registered me with FNA. Your dealer or the Ferrari NA Concierge service will arrange for the tour.

    Amenasce,

Do you have any specific names, addresses, or contact info for the carrozerias?
