The Ferrari store grand opening event will take place on March 25, 2007 and open to the public on March 19th. The dinner event on the 25th is by invitation only. Each of the three dealerships in the area will have access to a limited number of tickets.

Goldfield, I know you will be there before all of us!

I remember when the primary goal of Ferrari was to simply win the F1 championship. When the F1 team was doing well they'd allocate some resources to competing against Porsche and the others in the sports car series.

Now their primary venture is selling hats, t-shirts and other baubles to make a buck.

If the Ferrari public is willing to pay for it, why not? Furthermore, do you really think that the sale of shirts, etc, is keeping Ferrari afloat?

I was just reading today about their decision they're trying to make, sell more cars and loose exclusivity, raise the prices on current cars and look greedy, or sell merchendise.......but risk looking tacky trying to cater to all the millions who can't buy a car but will buy anything with the prancing horse on it. All 3 for trying to get more profit from one of the worlds best brands, but you could look at it like what Porsche did with the Cayenne, more profit from selling SUV's means more money to build crazy Carrera GT style cars.

The last time I checked the sales figures were down for Porche's SUV and they are not making as much as initially. I heard a body style change is in the works.
Serves them right, why buy the Porche when it looks just like the VW?

On your prediction of a March 19th opening? Sure :)
....but my crystal ball will admit that things have been pushed back until the last week in February

Are you are aware that product merchandising brings in more money now for Ferrari than car sales? If not then you've just been informed.

Paying to advertise for Ferrari ?

Why would anyone pay to wear a t-shirt advertising for Ferrari as a example ? If you own the car why would you need to tell strangers that you do? Isn't driving the car enough for your ego?

If you don't own the car, quit buying this poseur crap and invest your money so you can own the car. The one time my 8 year old got me up early enough to take him to the CC car show we saw someone get out of a Camry wearing a Ferrari Jacket/ t-shirt/hat. What's wrong with this picture?

Every car in my garage has been logo free. If the manf. doesn't send me a royalty check every month to drive around advertising their product I ain't doing it for free.

Nothing to some. Lot of fans'll wear the jersey of their favorite player to a sporting event.
