Mr V your picture does indeed show a unique 6.9 (thanks for the link!) but it did start life as a 6.3 and it's a little old. I was thinking of the late 70's MB 450SEL 6.9 model. Over $40,000 new back then and less than 7400 total production. It only had 286HP but an amazing 405 lb/ft of torque. Also being MB, the engineering was complicated (read-very very expensive to fix) and rust never sleeps. Dump that silber for some nice resale red! CH
Anyone got their 599's in Canada yet? If so, can you comment on them? (Any good in the snow!!?) I have one on order, likely 2008 delivery.
A friends friend ))has one on the road here in Woodbridge (Toronto, ON), I believe there are a handful already delivered here.
A total home run. What a spectacular looking car! ------------ February 20th, 2007 - To be released at the Geneva Auto Show, the GranTurismo is set to replace Maserati's ageing Coupe/Spyder and will take the idea to new visual extreme. Power should come from the same 450 hp 4.7-liter V8 that is currently powering the gorgeous 2-seat 8C Competizione. Autoblog said ''looking less like a Buick than the Quattroporte sketches of the new Maserati Coupe show an aggressive two-door with significant 'coke bottle' cues.'' This new look is the work of well-regarded Jason Castriota at Pininfarina, the same firm that styled the Quattroporte five years ago. Jason's egg-crate grill brings back memories of Maseratis past, particularly the A6GCS Pininfarina, probably the prettiest Maserati ever made. Fit and refinement should be top quality and we can only hope this Coupe is built in all aluminum like it's Ferrari 599 big brother. A Spyder version is expected to debut sometime in 2008. love the car, after my Lexus, that should be my next driver. Love this car, heck i love the original one form a few years ago...what a great car. Anyone know how reliable they are ? I keep seeing the same dark grey one with tobacco interior running up and down Bayview/7 area, all winter last year and this year. Great looking car !
Like any other coupe, the rear seats won't be very practical. Rick, GO FOR IT! I freaking LOVE this thing, there's nothing to dislike about it. Best part is, the price tag isn't exactly reaching for the stars either! I can't say enough about this thing and this is only from the looks of it.
If they produce them in numbers like the 360 /430 numbers that number will be here quicker than you think
I personally think that vehicles that have customized license plates with the vehicle model or brand on it are idiotic. What is the point of having a Ferrari and having a license plate that says "Ferrari" on it? So a great license plate for a Chevy is "Chevy?" Or how about "Porsche" for a 911? I don't really understand the fascination.
aaaaaahahahahhahahahaa, sorry vasco thats the funniest **** ive heard in a while!! lol..dont get mad back to plates....i saw one that said "1DAYPAY" and lots of other ones...very creative people out there...
