Is Frank4Cars and his magic camera going? Loved the write up and pics from last year. Who's goin airborn this yr
I offered to come along and take some photos but didn't have any takers with an empty passenger seat. I'm working on getting a private pilot's license. It takes about 2 hours exactly from the South Bay to get to Vegas. Might take you guys just about the same amount of time if I understand this run correctly
Thanks, Chris. Wasn't able to secure a spare bed or passenger seat this time around. I'm sure there will be enough cameras and computers to keep us abreast though.
Not to worry, I'm sure Elliot and a few others will be taking lots of pics, and Elliot will also get some awesome video footage as well (nothing like the scream of an Exotic car when it hits the red line) '
Nowadays, let's not forget there is the magic of video editing. Realistically speaking, a speed of 65mph can easily appear to be close to 130mph! Quite amazing if you ask me.
Man...I'm really looking forward to this. Seems like there were some pretty good memories from last year's run.
You bet and many more to be made I can't wait to hear what Jeffrey has to say to the park rangers this time around, that is if they can catch us
It will be tough to keep her down, I'm probably running with 10%+ more hp this time. The ranger didnt say anyhting.. except that we were "observed at a high rate of speed" which was perfectly acceptable for the park... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't forget to visit the Exotic Cars at Caesar's Palace. They have a nifty F1 simulator you can rent for $20.00 for 5 min, or buy one for your very own for $16k! And don't miss the "Get Your Picture Taken in a Ferrari" for $20.00
Cool pic Chris, looks like my 360 on your tail from one year ago, just before we lost our paint jobs?
Don't say that Thomas ... you'll give the newbies the wrong idea. They'll all be worried just because you and Air Noble think you're NASCAR racers drafting each other! Ha ha! Me? I came out 100% unscathed ... not even a single chip ... of course I wasn't 12 inches behind the car in front of me either!
More like 12 miles behind the car in front...Ha Ha (you're the smart one) No question, the ride is as safe as YOU make it, not to worry everyone, safe enjoyable fun will be had by all
I'm sure many of you have been following the weather forecast both local and in Las Vegas. I find it interesting that the forecast in both locations has been very similar, and remained steady, over the past week. So keep your fingers crossed because it looks favorable at this point, forecast shows a touch of rain on Tuesday and/or Wednesday of next week and then reasonably good weather for March 1 - 4 See ten day forecasts below: Ontario (launch point): http://weather.msn.com/tenday.aspx?wealocations=wc:USCA0806 Las Vegas (destination): http://weather.msn.com/tenday.aspx?wealocations=wc:USNV0049
The group has grown considerably in the past week. I think we're looking at 20+ cars for the drive out ... yikes!
