If you get them powdercoated with a wrinkle finish you can choose pretty well any colour you like. I'm a big fan of powdercoat for wrinkle finish because it results in a very even wrinkle accross the part.
The wrinkle texture of VHT depends on heat and light as it cures. That being said, it is difficult to get an even texture on manifolds as they are curved. Powdercoating is the better and longer lasting method IMHO.
VHT SP201, can, black, wrinkle. Wrinkle finish contains Toluene, , , i.e. methylbenzene, , were a respirator.....
Don't even bother with wrinkle out of an aerosol can. It is not very durable. Powder coat wrinkle comes very close to the proper texture for those manifolds (better than most aerosols) and is very durable. It is also very consistant in texture. That is very important when you are doing so many large pieces that are so visable on the top of the motor.
I'll 2nd the powdercoat recommendation. While I did spray my cam covers w/VHT's black wrinkle about 4 years ago (see Old Fchat), getting uniform texture was challenging & there were a few uneven spots. However, once I got it right, it's holding up great. BTW, VHT wrinkle is a self-etching, self-priming paint, best applied on scuff-sanded bare metal. If you try to use it over a primer, IT WILL PEEL WITHIN A YEAR(been there)...
