all gone loooong ago. all 3 digits are gone too, goober took the last of them i hear. a year ago you could get them for $1200, sadly i didn't have that kind of extravagant expendable income at that time i *think* there's maybe 1,500 4 digits left, minus all the "good" numbers held by govt.
So place an ad in the paper under "wanted". An owner may take the bait. At the relatively small $ they cost in sadelaide, I would be buying 'em up.
too true. it's a very good idea to be collecting as many 3-digit plates in SA as possible. not many people here know they're NLA yet...
If/when you put them on cars, please be sure to post a few pics for sad people (read: numberplate enthusiasts ) like me!
I'm not so certain of the investment value, one day, we might get rid of the idea of 7 different types of number plates for a country with only 25 million people. Heck,we might even get rid of state goverments and countless useless politicians draining our wallets.
scott, i've been buying them up in my super fund as an investment.................now i just have to fit to the rest of the stable
Whats the go with these new "signature plates"? it says there are a few available for auction then the rest will be available later on? is this just another way of revenue raising or what? Cost four grand for a set Any thoughts?
Government revenue raising with somewhat limited investment potential IMO. Might be fun to own; but don't expect to make a killing.
heritage plates all over the shop in sth yarra/toorak today basically all 6 number jobs, and basically all attached to RR sports. Couple of Boxsters too and An SL500 with [226]
we should almost do a list of 3/2/1 digit plates and what cars theyre on...be a pretty interesting lineup
