this morning had waz over at 5.30 to head off to meet, the G, 550, 550 bmw, 7451, Gt3, renault cloioio, and the Nsx.

over 400 km later 2 punts crossings of the river murray and brekky at Blanchetown it was a great drive, ash has pics galore.

so glad waz enticed me to take the TR out, i hasnt had a drive since Classic adelaide last year in the museum, and what a pleasure to drive a 23 year old classic...........a 23 year old porker has nothing on this........but them a new porker has nothing on this, hopefully when ash awakens from his surreal adventure we will have pics and video coverage to boot..

cameltoe............thats another story, and sitting in the car aprk this morning all that was missing was a bunch of jap chicks with midriffs on and a ghetto blaster pumping out Jameriquiqiquiqiii

awesome morning, one of the best, it was like a mini NT holiday. i loved how we all arrived at the secret meeting location within 30 seconds of each other, it really had that Fast N Furious feel to it, only with good cars. :p

i've only slept an hour this whole weekend soooo i won't get a chance to do all the pics today, (half-way through my third beer already) but here's a few of the early part of the morning... (featuring Cameltoe Mutant Ninja Goober  :D )

All you have to do is look at the race results for 23 years ago. Something about winners and losers I guess.

A great epic run, and great pics Ash, Aemel and Waz. The Gallardo in the dawn light was just stunning, it positively glows!

As for the tiff as to what is better, a 23 year old Porsche or a 23 year old TR, who gives a sausage really. A 2.7 RS (34 not 23 yo) is a legendary car performance wise, however it is all stealth. The TR has both visual AND aural impact, which an equivalent 23 year old Porsche seems to lack.

A nice quote from the Porsche-centric GT Purely Porsche magazine for the 1983/84 model year probably sums it up “Turbo look option available for 911 which not only made the car slower by adding 50 kilos to its weight, but also increased the drag created by the wider body”. That model year doesn’t sound particularly exciting to me :)

sounds like a post carb Ferrari owner. The early 911s were and still are owned by drivers and not Real Estate crowd.

yep very true, dunno why they think they (estate agents) are better than the rest of us, maybe i should throw a chair on their heads as well
