gr8 pics.............can someone explain how a 23 year old TR has so much more on offer than a 23 year old 911?
awesome morning, one of the best, it was like a mini NT holiday. i loved how we all arrived at the secret meeting location within 30 seconds of each other, it really had that Fast N Furious feel to it, only with good cars. i've only slept an hour this whole weekend soooo i won't get a chance to do all the pics today, (half-way through my third beer already) but here's a few of the early part of the morning... the only Porker I have ever driven was an '85 brown 930 turbo, didn't like the seats, felt too uncomfortable
the early 210hp car with a weight of about 1050ks those cars worked over are awesome so chuckable, you just drive em on the throttle and turn in.
drove a 996 911 C4S and was gonna buy it until i saw a real estate agent get out of a 911 turbo at the dealership and threw me the keys to wash it.............like i am a customer....u idiot...........and if thats what porker owners are like i'm glad not to be in the same company
A great epic run, and great pics Ash, Aemel and Waz. The Gallardo in the dawn light was just stunning, it positively glows! As for the tiff as to what is better, a 23 year old Porsche or a 23 year old TR, who gives a sausage really. A 2.7 RS (34 not 23 yo) is a legendary car performance wise, however it is all stealth. The TR has both visual AND aural impact, which an equivalent 23 year old Porsche seems to lack. A nice quote from the Porsche-centric GT Purely Porsche magazine for the 1983/84 model year probably sums it up Turbo look option available for 911 which not only made the car slower by adding 50 kilos to its weight, but also increased the drag created by the wider body. That model year doesnt sound particularly exciting to me
sounds like a post carb Ferrari owner. The early 911s were and still are owned by drivers and not Real Estate crowd.
yep very true, dunno why they think they (estate agents) are better than the rest of us, maybe i should throw a chair on their heads as well
